  1. hello folks, I recently found an old toy car in my loft and think it would be quite cool to try and kit it with of todays hardware. At the moment it has sprung friction shocks but i think with a bit of bodgery i could get some shocks from something like a mini-t on there. I wondered if any one had an old set knocking about i could have? I'm not looking to pay anything if im honest but i'd be happy to over postage costs. Here is a link to the toy http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/151684-found-this-in-the-loft/
  2. Motor was not sold. Please close the thread i cant be asked with the faff of selling now.

  4. Yes this is still available. I have just moved house (hence im poor and selling) but sky are yet to get my internet working so i only have a connection during the week at the moment sorry for late replys guys.
  5. have you rooted the phone? Also, what size is the internal memory?
  6. close the thread please.
  7. Well how gutted was I! Probably the only man in the world to have 8aa batteries spare brand new in a box. I bashed them in and went to get the 9v out the fire alarm...(short term of course) and there wasn't one in there. Any way i get one today from work (yes i took it to work to show off my find) and booo its dead. I fiddled about with it for a few mins and it spung to life... It stuttered forward 3 inches but wouldnt turn. After closer inspection and taking it appart i have found the problem. The previous owner was a complete cheapskate. They had attempted to rewire it to use less that the 9aa batteries it requires. This is whats causing it to not work properly, I'm going to attempt to re-wire it tonight but i wouldn't be to suprised if they have burned a component out on the circuit board. If i get it working I'll post a little video. I know it seems a lot of work for a crappy old toy but its 27 years old and has a bit of retro novelty about it i like.
  8. I'm in MK I have a slash 4x4. Where are people bashing these days? The BMX track on willen was closed to rc a few years back when i was more involved. These days i just tinker about and like wayne said its not as fun on your own.
  9. Found a load of go karting magazines, football programs from the 80's and a load of old models. The kind you paint and build yourself. The creepiest thing was in the corner was a pile of body parts.... manikin body parts.
  10. It runs on 8 x aa's . Has a manual low and high. Suspension at rear and independent suspension up front.
  11. Moved into my new place today. Found a load of stuff in the loft. This was ppretty cool.
  12. There is a tool available called windows loader. This serves as an activation fix. Should windows think it's not genuine you can use this to "remind it" that it is genuine.
  13. thats a really nice build mate, When you complete it and flog that one on like you did the slash let me know and I'll see about buying that too. Where do you get that cable covering stuff that you tidy up with? it looks pretty cool and i wouldnt mind some for the slash.
  14. Hello Folks, I am after some of the HD mip cvds and a kingheadz motor mount for the slash. I'd prefer used but if any one knows of a UK seller of these bits that aren't atatched to silly prices please let me know. cheers Luke
  15. jake, check you suspension. If you have it set to firm and the shocks arent actually doing anything then this may be causing the breakages you are describing. Also, when you next get some of these parts in Boil up the kettle and pop the front brace in. This will give the part more flex and make it less prone to breaking. edit: Obviously, dont actually put them in the kettle, use a tub or something.
  16. bored them out with a 5mm drill bit i had and they fit ok now.
  17. http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=FLM26010&cat=31 Alloy center diff. I have read this resolves a lot of heat issues with the stock and as a result there is less flex resulting in less crunching. There are a number of upgrades from these guys that look pretty good but it's more than i care to pay right now so can't vouch any more than what i have read.
  18. thanks for the offer mate, im going to bore out the ones i got. 5mm drill bit should open them up to the right width to fit the axles. if that fails ill get some traxxas ones, again, thanks for the offer.
  19. I'm just going to spend the extra few coins and have them arrive the same week. I'm fed up faffing with wheel adaptors and such. Thank you for the link though slugsie.
  20. the axles are too thick to fit through adapters. They look like they need drilling slightly in order to fit the slash ones. Unfortunatly i don't have a drill press so i wont be able to do this. I'll likely end up buying a set of traxxas ones, which is annoying as they cost about
  21. link followed, item purchased, box opened...they didn't fit. The best bit is that i helped out someone in the wanted section who needed the standard hexes so i am now without any fitting adapters. If any one would like some scrt10 17mm hexes let me know. I want what i paid for them as they are obviously unused.
  22. Some of the parts for the FTX vantage and FTX carnage are cross compatible with the LRP series as they are so similar in design.
  23. whats more, i have an RPM front bumper for a rustler (90% sure it is anyway) that is of no use to me as i only have a slash so if that's any good to you i can throw that in the box too.
