and lads finally i think it is a very MEAN statment to say i send ravenguard a dudd engine!!! he wanted a cheap engine and he knew and was told full well what was wrong with it. he got that zenoah engine for nothing pretty much to help him out cause he said HE HAD NO MONEY and this is the crap. not nice carry on lads,not nice......

thanks!! but my point is before i sent it i just changed it,it in total that engine just run two gallons all in all. then ring changed and sent to him with new gaskets. im only trying to tell him that he can't check the compression until the engine is BUILT READY TO FIRE UP.... and then pull the cord slow,if cord lifts engine then you got good compression,if not it needs a ring. that's the way i was told to check it anyway. why would i lie lads about any information for what gain?

no mate it's new and fine i mean that this is the way the engine is,but when you have everything assembled and fuel in it i think that is the best time to check compression. NOTE for daz, you should check compression with the pullcord,once you have all engine assembled and good to fire up if it lifts car off the ground,slightly you got good compression (pulling slowly with cord) but if engine spins freely without making any attempt to lift car you need ring. this is how we check ours. this is the reason i got mad when you assumed you need a ring without properly knowing how to check it. but i understand you don't know as you are new to this

i have a new oddifed 23cc racing engine and i can turn it pretty easy when taken off. and im just after re-ringing it...

make it feel less compression as when the magnet meets the coil it makes it harder to turn. all im saying is those engines i was very reluctant to sell,they are flyers and it has upset me a little that daz is doubting me...... i just sold him the engine and he thinks it needs a new ring.....

i also use a blue spring from hobbythek in my stock clutches and find them great come in @ 8000rpm

unless it's pointless hassle he wants to start i suggest he stops posting stuff he knows nothing about. the point is the engine was re-ringed,maybe he had plug out lol or coil off.... nothing wrong with those engines. and that's why i find this thread odd

as for your comment there im sorry he is being smart,i don't speak to him here at all from day one cause i didn't like his tone. yesterday i posted up a simple thread on a radio in the chatbox and his comment back "arn't you racers supposed to know it all?? " and a big lol so yeah he is being smart,wouldn't doubt him for a second

it does anoy me that a noob buys an engine from me tells me he is delighted with it. runs it,posts up a video,says he is extremly happy with it,an engine that cost 500 to build. gave him a free 813 carb with it,that cost 60pounds being nice. after telling him it WAS RE-RINGED and all rebuilt he goes posting this :rolleyes: it's kinda beyond the joke now,as much as some argue here with me i do know what im talking about,i do race these cars i wouldn't sell anything that is not 100percent unless it's what somebody wanted for a project dirt cheap. those engines are perfect and i wouldn't say so otherwise,as a ring is only 7pounds threads like these only start crap as im sure some will chime in here later without any evidence of the engine or anything near it and start accusing me of something that's not true.
