i wouldnt wet the wood to bend it i would either steam the wood over a kettle or give it a lite spray of window cleaner cant remember of the top of my head but theres somthing in the window cleaner that helps soften the wood for bending

for the money i dont think you can go wrong how long the battery will last per run depends on how you drive it but with lipos being so cheap in this size range does it realy matter and im betting it wouldnt take much to chuck in a cheap brushless set in it and make it a rocket ship
