  1. Sorry bud I don't see the point you're trying to make there? I have a killswitch so won't get a run away yes. My worries about bending aren't from run aways, just from people saying theirs they have found bent. Maybe they were mistreated but trying to work out if it would prefer the braces to flex rather than transfer the stress to the chassis and bend that instead. Or will they stop the main chassis from bending by adding strength to it. I know from this I want a mesh plate and a servo brace plate so we've got that far! Haha
  2. This is my worry with them, but also if a chunk of metal like that is going to 'flex', it will just bend. Would I prefer some
  3. I think that was 3rd Martin, it changes to 2nd almost instantly
  4. Awesome thanks, great advise. My question/worry with the chassis brace is, where does the energy go? the flex that would have happened in the brace will want to go somewhere else and worries that it will be a more expensive park that breaks instead. Or will it just stop the chassis bending?
  5. Awesome, thanks, what about the gear mesh lock brace thing I've heard to stop the movement between gears and mashing the spur?
  6. I have to say it, I am interested in a 1/8th petrol and the losi xxl-2 has my money at the moment judging by the Australian model shop who's name I can't remember's video and the speeds it's been shown to run at already! Only user reviews of that will tell tho!
  7. Is there any reason to take the gpm ones over any others and is Asia tees the cheapest place?
  8. I think a mod has just sorted out my phone having a mental, there was 3 for some reason! Haha anyway, thanks for the suggestion
  9. Ok, already got vented clutch housing, bartelone pipe on and steering servo swapped and I've popped in a different engine, and all important killer rc kill switch, what are some worthwhile upgrades? I'm thinking brake servo brace, maybe a chassis brace, out wears for shocks. Ideas and opinions? Preferably backed up with a reason??
  10. Ok fixed, she runs!!! Now time to rebuilt the old engine what's the best head a piston to put on a cy??
  11. Tbh I'm not too bothered by it, was going to upgrade anyway and I was told when buying it it would be best to stick a new one in!
  12. It's worse on the piston bud, the ring is fine tho, it's ingested something at some point
  13. Ok, took the head off, and it's slaughtered. How it has compression I don't know but it does! So I've just given up with this engine for the moment and collected a 29cc from a guy from the local club that's had a tank through it and I'll probably put a new head and piston on my old one then keep as a spare. Pics of both coming shortly
  14. I agree, loved the wheelie!
  15. This has got me thinking the following options: - Replace head and rings with how it is now
  16. It just feels like it hydraulics as 2 or 3 pulls before it starts getting progressively harder, it's done it a couple times.
  17. I have a compression tester somewhere but I guess the threads are different sizes to a normal plug? Cheapest place to get a head and new rings incase?? I wanna know what I'm looking at to fix it if it is. Could the occasional locking up of the engine be anything to do with it?? This has only been doing it since it stopped running and can only be freed by turning the flywheel by hand. Still struggling to work out how it was running fine then when I over tuned it it's caused all this. Started fine cold and hot before within a couple pulls
  18. Ok just put my finger over the hole, it's not pushing it off it was running fine till i tried to tune the damn thing if I take the head off, will I most likely need a new gasket standing by?
  19. Just been and picked up a spark plug from the local garden machinary store, caught them just before they closed. Lets see what it fixes!
  20. Compression is good, you can certainly feel the difference when the spark plug is in when turning it over
  21. Ok so now exhaust studs are in, from freespawn racing, would really recommend them, exhaust isn't going anywhere!
  22. Appreciate the reply but I think i've got too much fuel going in if anything!
  23. I disconnected the killswitch and am still getting a spark. Like i said it doesn't pop at all so its gonna be either spark plug gone or was flooded i'm guessing. FTI has given me a couple things to try in the mean time via PM so fingers crossed that'll work tonight!
