  6. i tried it a few years ago on my havoc, used a really dark red and sprayed one thin-ish coat but also slightly uneven then sprayed that black. did look pretty good! as for whitewall tyres, tip-ex is your friend
  7. you bend it, you mend it its not always dark at six
  8. that looks sweet butcher! well ive had a go tonite and although the vinyl is extremeley tricky to use i think for a first ever attempt its not too bad. not totally finished yet but i will finish it off tomoz and ill post a couple of pics.

  13. Hi guys, finally managed to get the morning off to go and have a bash. however ten minutes it i hit something (ive no idea what!) and have broken my rear lower wishbone. Hate to sound cheeky but has anyone got one spare lying around but as cheap as possible! just bought a new house and literally do not have two pennies to rub together. the wife has been shopping and spent the lot!!!!!! cheers guys!
  14. that sounds like a great idea swingy. i did wonder if using third channel would be possible using it alongside my killswitch but i didnt think so. but saying that im no electrical expert, but do have a small amount of understanding. plus theres always google.............
  15. Sounds good. thanks pal. For now im just gonna use 9v battery with the generic push on connector as the 'switch' but at some point i will be wiring up to another switch on the radio box and im thinking of using a small lipo battery i got lying around from one of those rc helicopters u seem to be able to buy anywhere nowadays, but not made my mind up yet
  16. army drab green looks pretty good with the odd black patch to make it look camo
  17. thats impressive! as for the resistors, ill be using the 3v led with 270ohm resistor to allow me to wire it up to a standard 9v battery. this seemed the cheapest way to do it as the first attempt will pretty much be a prototype to refine and change as and when i get the time and spare pennies to upgrade switches/connectors/batteries etc. swingy, can u give me an idea on how you wired your leds as have noticed there are plenty of different ways to do it, and am unsure on the best way to go. cheers
  18. hi guys im looking into making my own lights for my baja using the light pods. i know that i can buy a ready made set but i like the idea of making my own. i can get l.e.ds cheap as chips on the bay and everything else i THINK i need so wont cost a lot. so i was wondering if any of you guys have done this yourself too and if i could scrounge a few ideas/tips off ya! any tips/ideas would be great thanks peeps!
  19. hey guys dont forget this haha! ebay.co.uk sorry couldnt resist
  20. lump of coal if im lucky. cant complain tho, the parents have just given me 25 grand for deposit on me new house! :yahoo: :yahoo:
  21. well me being me, i want to build it myself......for the bragging rights lol
  22. just go for whats already there pal. no real need to bother with specialist materials. bare dirt is a good alrounder, its easy to manage and maitntain as well as makes different kinds of possible surfaces to race on. for example when the track is dry chuck a few buckets of water on it at a few corners etc. and uve instantly got yourself somne slippery corners that'll make things interesting. also you'd be able to change locations and shapes of ramps as and when you please.
