  1. Very nice mate! Really like the design and looks really well done!
  2. If I sell anything I'm not fussed either way, if someone feels confident enough to pay as a gift then i'm pleased but if not that's not a problem. At the end of the day you are selling goods, not sending a friend some money. What Nick and the moderators are doing is a good thing by making sure members of the forum are well informed about the dangers of paying by gift.
  3. You'll love it mate, I would suggest upgrading as you break parts to save a little money initially. Like Jon said, a receiver pack and rechargeable batteries for the transmitter would be a priority for me as I got through plenty of batteries at the beginning. Get a failsafe if you haven't already, prevents any runaways if you have low batteries or any interference, could save you a lot of money at some point. All in all, have fun and welcome to the hobby mate
  4. You'll be fine mate. Richen up the HSN and take it from there. Just be sure to have plenty of smoke at first before you start fine tuning the needles. Better to be rich than lean mate.
  5. Sounds like you could be if the coil is damaged when you check it. Return the car to factory settings and then tune from there. Keep an eye on the temperatures. If your getting too hot on factory settings there is a good possibility you've got an air leak somewhere. Make sure you have a good trail of smoke all the way through the rev range although at full speed this will be harder to spot.
  6. Very nice mate! I do really like the Hong Nor, looks smart and a good choice from what i've heard on the forum. (On a different note, are you on CCUK by any chance? Recognise the username lol)
  7. Check this link, will help you identify any air leaks if there are any. Them plugs will be fine mate, used them when I first started and thought they were great.
  8. I've just crashed my Hyper into a tree at full throttle (I blame the sun in my eyes lol), expecting the worst i was pleasantly surprised, barely a scratch on it lol. So the hyper is pretty tough tbh.
  9. The numbers are just specific to the different brand, for example a '6' in one brand could be the complete opposite of a '6' in another brand. It should say on the packet what sort of plug it is. What sort of temperatures are you getting? If you don't have a temp gun, use the 'spit test'. Drop of spit on the cooling head, if it evaporates straight away it's too hot, around 3-4 seconds is about what you need. Could be an air leak leaning the engine out causing the plugs to blow.
  10. Only had the Hyper 7 out of the two so can't comment on the trophy but i've found the hyper 7 to be a great buggy. Very tough, plenty of spares about and lots of them around which I see as a plus as you can get plenty of help with them if needs be And if your new to the hobby you'll also have around
  11. Check the glow plug mate, no point assuming it's ok because it was new. If your tune is way out can quite easily blow plugs.
  12. Looks like a monster! Unlucky about the tyres lol.
  13. Had no problems yet. Most people are interested and want to ask questions. I think people just need to be courteous and show some responsibility and people will give you no problems (most the time).
  14. Ye very simliar to what baorevo said but I see you have a hyper so here's a pic. (excuse the dirt lol)
  15. If the idles too high the clutch will engage hence the wheels will spin. Like jonny said, lower the idle a bit and see if thats helps
  16. Bump - Taking offers on everything!
  17. That's it i'm afraid. Sorry mate.
  18. Sounds good mate. I would love to work in an Apple store or even PC world lol.
  19. Ye good point lol i'm simply going by the Royal Mail FAQ's.
  20. Copied directly from the Royal mail first class FAQ's For items posted with Royal Mail which have no intrinsic value, or where a customer cannot provide evidence of posting, there will be compensation for loss, damage and delay of a minimum of 6 x 1st class stamps at the first weight step. In the event of a compensation claim for loss we will refund the postage paid or 6 x 1st class stamps at the first weight step, whichever is greater.
