  3. Hi Guys I've been looking at doing a chassis conversion on a mav scout for a while now and ive been speaking to the lads at radshape rc in birmingham , and they will be bringing out these chassis conversions this is the first one thats gone out of the shop, the chassis is of very good quality, the only this i can see it needs is some upper support bars that bridge from the shock towers, to illiminate any flex. ive thown up the quick photos of mine today the chassis conversions will be on sale very soon and the price for it will be about
  4. nice! what shell you ordered ?
  5. Quick update. went radshape today to give it another go with my d3, and i am glad to say it wicked. running stock CS with a one way and i love it. love the high cs ratio. ive upgraded to a quicker servo but kept the mavericks brushless system in and using a spektrum dx3c. heres a quick video of me getting used to it sorry for the crap quality . the mrs filmed it so i blame her http://youtu.be/g6OPiHbR-ew

  8. well went rads today to find they were laying the carpet for the new track and doing maintenance to the rest of the courses. only got an hour on the track, but they didnt charge me so that was sound so no photos or vids But there was another lad there with a fully hopped up d3. so got chattting to him and he told me where he got all his hop ups and stuff from so ordered some new pulleys from RC MART , think i got a 16t and a 17t which would lower it to somewhere near 1.55 cs ratio. solid rear axle and still got to fit my one way aswell so i should be all done when that comes also bought a spektrum dx3c controller and reciever from rads , which made a big difference as far as triming and so on. cheers guys ill let you know how i get on . once all the new stuff fitted
  9. cheers guys im going radshape tommorow ,so gonna give it a few more goes getting used to the original cs ratio before i lower it. ill see how i get on. ill post some photos and vids 2moro night WISH ME LUCK

  14. cheers for all the advice guys im not going to throw the towel in lol, but i can see why people get annoyed with these , teshi your right, running my d3 there is like driving on ice and you cant throw it into the corners as it just slides out, im gonna lower the cs ratio down to 1.5 but can anyone tell me what pullys i would need and where i could order them form within the uk? all of this knowledge and tips are a big help and im starting the learn cheers guys
  15. if i change the pullys to the same front and back will that make it 50/50 lol im totally confused, yeah ill have a look abouts on the net no not got a one way in yet, gonna order one tonight, what does it actually do
  16. cheers guys i was running a trackstar 5200kv thats all i know but the esc has just died. yeah the lad who works there whos in the drift championships (dont know his name lol) he had ago and gave me a few pointers, he couldnt get to grips with it to, he told me what to change (settings wise) less rear camber, less toe in, softer front , stiffer rear lol, but just put my brushless back in out of my maverick dc evo which is proberly way to underpowered. with a 22t pinion i think. ive heard of people converting them to 50/50 and being better off like. how do i go around doing that i would say im pretty clued up and know how to handle the drifting side, but using this sakura makes me look like a 2 years old lmao sorry for any lack of info guys, old numb nuts here i am lol cheers for the adivice guys
  17. Sorry in advance for my spelling Hi guys i recently bought a sakura d3 and i cant handle the thing, i took it out for the first time up radshape yesterday and as soon as i put it down the thing down i just understeered everywhere just kept spinning out under little throttle, so one of the guys up there helped me out with adjusting it, and really it made little to no difference. i had ago with my mates mst ,and you have to give it more power to get the back end out, which is nice , and what i was expecting the sakura to do. can anyone help me with this? i actually feel like hitting my head off the wall and i know some of you may say its cause of the price, but i have seen these drifting like a dream. ive tried changing wheels to a softer compound but its still just uncontrolable. maybe gearing or something , it just wants to sit on the spot and do donuts all the time i know a few people have them on here and might be able to push me in the right direction Safe
