  1. would the force .46 be a good replacement engine for my fr.32 fx ??
  2. really really greatful to you Mr Terminator thanks to your help i now have an exploded view of my tamiya so have all the right part numbers and should be able to get it up and running again i will check out all the engines when i get some time later, damn school holidays lol thanks again
  3. thanks again for your help Terminator I may have 2 trucks so far but really having no luck with both too, i just wanted something to give me a chance to see how much i would enjoy it and something that my sons could both enjoy too, but it's not going well right now the Tamiya ( no idea what model ) the piston and conrod broke plus the steering servo connection will not stay connected i will try and upload some pics hopefully someone will be able to help me find a part number so i can replace it, someone said a force .21 engine would make a good replacement for the fr32 fx engine it came with so will be trying to get one asap the hobao pirate rt on the other hand has a great engine ( the hyper 21 ) which i have already replaced the pull start on as that snapped the first time i tried to start it but that now runs really well untill i break then it stalls but thats not a big issue as i live in the middle of nowhere i can pretty much run it where i like and as quick as i like without worry of hitting anything lol. i have googled and read different forums looking for help for newbies but tho there is plenty of advice it always seems to be for the savage or revo which is great for tho's that have them lol afer looking them both up i would love to own any of them but as i'm still so new and unsure it's a hobby i will be really getting into they are both way out of my price range will look up the others you have said about fingers crossed i can find a good priced one to get me started lol
  4. cheers terminator lol any tips for someone looking to buy a reliable monster ? must be fairly cheep lol i'm new to nitro RC's and before i go out spending a fortune on a great toy i want to make sure it's something i will get plenty of use out of. i want something quick stable and above all reliable ( or easy to get parts for at least lol )
  5. hiya all I finally got to play with my latest MT today and boy is it fast, shame it's so unstable tho now the engine is running really well i'm gutted that after only a short time i already have problems My monster Problem 1: engine stalls when breaking hard ? Problem 2: after flipping it it has no drive, engine is still running well but no movement at all, wheels spin when i rev holding it off ground ? front wheel also came apart at the swinging arm ( guess thats the name of it ) will put load some pics as soon as i get the chance i'm looking to upgrade some of the plastic parts but as i know so little any help would be greatful great help for newbies like me lol <-- click this if you have an hyper 21 engine cheers anyone who replies lol
  6. cheers m8 added to my watch list just have to hope it goes cheap already spend a load on there today getting my 2nd monster
  7. hiya all i have resently brought my first nitro RC ( after watching loads on youtube ) i thought it would be a great fun hobby for me and my sons. being a bit of an inpulse buyer i got hold of the first one i could afford ( pic's on profile ( not bad i think for what i paid ) I took my engine apart today as it wasn't working and how gutted was i to find the piston and shaft broken i have searched the net looking for parts to repair with no luck, does anyone know what other engine i could try getting hold off as a replacement ? or would i be better off continuing my search and getting mine repaired ? i'm at a total loss with what to do next and money as always is tight so any advice would be greatfully recieved happy RC'ing everyone Rick
  8. totally new to Nitro Rc's and this forum so sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place i have a Tamiya ( pic on profile ) no idea about setting up from scratch i brought it 2nd hand and all i know it's not running well it has an FR32 FX engine and i want to set it up for general playing about, not worries about top speed. I have watched the video's and read all i can find so far but i was hoping to start from the begining as in screwing the screws all the way in and then unscrewing 1/2 way or as much as i need to to get it running better. I would be totally greatful for any help and boy do i need it lol
