  1. Hi, I'm hoping someone might have the brushed motor and ESC out their Summit or Revo, from when they upgraded to brushless, that they would part with for a few quid? Nothing fancy required just some working electrics. Thanks!
  2. Put a washer or 2mm plastic spacer between the outside of the wheel and the wheel nut. That should sort it. The wheels are on the thin side. Its a good idea to fit the Thumbs Design crush-tubes too, they go between the bearings in the hubs. Makes the bearings live longer, and means you can tighten the wheelnuts down a bit more without overtightening and binding..
  3. 250 Quad racing: Awesome!!!!

  4. Look for the SkyRC quattro charger. Very good bit of equipment and will charge 4 batteries at once Hobbyking sell a bunch of batteries up to 7600mah with the Traxxas plug fitted, so if your not so sure with electrics, thats the way to go..
  5. The guy who went viral strapping a gun to his quad, needs shooting himself. Other people have done it before, but what an idiot for attracting so much negative attention Quad racing is awesome, on private land where it can be organised. Otherwise, in park flying etc situations, its no different to any other FPV flying. Gotta be careful and mindful of people around you.
  6. I'm selling my Xbox one to fund other hobbies (clue - quadcopters!). Its in good condition with just some very faint cosmetic marks from having my Xbox 360 sat on top. Very little use, and a full factory reset performed. Comes with controller again in great condition, and the official power cable & HDMI leads. Comes boxed and will be packaged securely. Note the box has the Kinect sensor, but I've sold this locally already so isn't included. Sold thanks
  7. I'm eager to hear how well it works, what the dropout, lag and such is like. Network reception will also be an important factor. FPV over 3g tho, cool idea for bigger quads or planes where you don't need the split second response time..
  8. Emax 1806 motors give good power, nice and responsive. CC3D flies well, Naze32 is probably the most popular though? I tried 1.2Ghz FPV on mine for a few flights. The transmitter was pretty heavy compared to 5.8Ghz equipment. I was flying with a 7 inch screen, which is fine for a big quad. But not suited to these, these fast things need goggles to cut the distractions out..
  9. Little while since last login, stuff to catch up on!

  10. Are you politely telling me this hat won't make me immediately Cool?
  11. Naza v2's defaults are really on the cautious side. I use an external buzzer with mine same as I do planes, and I've not seen a resting voltage under 3.7v/cell. Or a load voltage of under 3.5v/cell. Will have to tweak a bit, but 15 mins on 5000 isn't difficult at all. I think the Naza settings can be lowered some
  12. I ordered mine before they were 'cool'
  13. I'd settle for a picture of a plinth hand drawn on a sheet of card if it gets them out quicker
  14. Same! MSUK Need to share this on their Facebook page
  15. 67issues, QAV250 clone frame (Carbon version) 4x Emax 1806 motors 2280kv 4x 12a esc's with SimonK firmware CC3D Flight controller 5030 props And a few green/red leds me thinks Once its flying good I'm keen to install my FPV gear into it. Sony CCD camera with 800mw transmitter and a 7" extra bright LCD screen to fly with. Need to buy a hood/mount to clamp the screen to my transmitter above the sticks
  16. Starting to build my one tonight. Will take pics as it goes together The big decision is, do I fit lots of nice bright LED's to aid in orientation, or leave it with none and fly 'stealthy' for pure FPV?
  17. Looks cool, one ordered If it help support the forum a bit, thats a bonus as well
  18. The frame must be really complicated but I like the idea of flying in quad mode but with 2 extra horizontal props, to push you forwards
  19. I try to set the slipper so it will slip for a couple of ft when you pull away fast on a high grip surface - this way you can pull away quicker and it has some 'give' when you land jumps and stuff where your wheel and motor RPM will change speed quickly. Better than eating a diff!
  20. ^^^^ What fatboyneil says. They are compatible and work brilliantly. No reason to buy them anywhere else really.
