I know you have said that you don't like but the only brushless basher for your budget has to be the stinger (I don't see whats wrong with it and it will leave you spare money for decent batteries and charger, plus it has 2.4 GHz controller!).

Maybe put the price up a bit and offer to put any adapter on, this might give you an edge.

I think that if Traxxas power systems were better they would charge us even more for the models!
