Hi guys, got these left over from 1/10 TC days. Set of 4 GRP gandini belted foams mounted on tyres. Used for one heat so plenty of life left and doubt they need trueing. Tyre code B, not too sure (or should that be shore ) what hardness that equates to but something around 55-60 shore I would imagine. wheels in perfect condition, 12mm hex

Some more shiny bits for the wheels. Also got a bunch of parts to sort out the mk2. Headlights, missing trim pieces, indicators etc. Bigger update this weekend!

Right chaps, used the paint stripper this weekend. Applied a thick coating, left for 10 minutes and then reapplied, waiting another 10 minutes and pressure washed the wheels. The remaining lacquer turns into an rubbery elastic sheet which comes off after a bit of rubbing with you hand. Used a respirator as this stuff is pretty evil and some latex gloves. The latex tore on my thumb and some of the stuff got on my hand. Much swearing was involved as my thumb felt as if someone had tried to blow torch it Anyways, after the first lot of paint stripper this was left Then out came the polisher! Got one of the wheels bolted up but it's coming off again for paint

Another vote for Halfords gear here, Mac/Snap on is good if your budget can stretch but doubt you'd really be missing much. Love my Facom drivers though, nicest design i've seen

Good work so far arogon, close to your target now! One thing i would advise you on is if you're cutting your own CF chassis be really careful, as if you inhale any of the dust you could end up getting poisoned (or something like that) Would love to see this thing on 6s

No real progress really, been busy with uni stuffs today Under the old filter box was an absolute state though so gave it a clean Before After And a cheeky family shot (just need the mk1 in it to complete )

Had this out the other day and broke the hub carrier for it.

Done a bit of work today, topped up all the fluids and put some fresh 10-40 in there. Had a K&N fitted which was clogged beyond belief and well past servicing so binned it and stuck a new twin cone filter I had spare on. Cleaned up the engine bay a bit too. Car runs loads better now! Boot lock was seized, managed to finally get it open and it turns out the parcel shelf was actually a stealth shelf with a pair of decent 6x9 Alpine subs underneath Other than that i've started on the first arch today, just a bit of sanding to see what needs doing tomorrow, bottom of the arch is going to need a bit of welding, could always use filler but I might as well do it properly. Will probably do all the work needed on the left side tomorrow, get it all in primer and then sort out some paint from the local paint mixers. Oh yeah, it's got 300mm discs fitted too

Plenty other cars which have been hold onto over the years!!! Garage is getting full of Vdubs, still no room for the mk1 gti so the VR will have to go sharpish, it's just i couldnt turn it down for the price! Personally i don't see why everyone always says VRs are so thirsty, if you keep them up to scratch the 'Rado will do about 38 on a cruise, around 26 in town and around 30 combined. 2.8's are definately slow for what they are, block and gearbox can handle up to around 360hp on stock internals so you can always bolt on a turbo
