  1. Thanks.. I'll get a vid of it the next time I'm out fly it.. Sean
  2. Where to start... Servo arms... Move the control rode in two holes...(less stress on the servo) Aileron control horns.. move clevises one hole out from the aileron ( hinge tape is ment to run the lenght of the aileron "top and bottom" not across ) You have far to much Fiber tape on the wing,,,extra wing loading you don't need Looks like you have far to much throw (movement of the ailerons) you only need max of 10mm on full rate.. One of the control horns on a aileron doesn't look like it's fully screwed together. but apart from that,,,, it looks like is should roll.. Sean
  3. You will need a CG Balance if you wanna set a flying wing up right... If there not balanced right they will not fly..full stop.. Sean
  4. I'd recommed this http://www.flyingwings.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=61_63&product_id=58 The Raven from FlyingWing UK , the mega deal is a really good buy,as you get every thing you need..just need a Rx and a load more Li-Po's so the fun lasts longer.. The Raven was my first flying wing..there not fast only 50mph -ish ,the glide is great and for combat there great fun, A friend and myself bought ours at the same time.. The build. The flying The Night Combat. Yeah!!! I'd recommend the Raven Sean
  5. Two reasons. One..Not enough travel on your servos , which hole are your control rodes in ? Ailerons... Control horn ..Which hole.. Two..Ailerons are not big enough or are to far inward on the wing.. Get a photo or two up... Sean
  6. Maidened my MPX Twister today... It was blowing abit ,but as the wind was steady I thought why not,,,a friend did the hand launch and he said it went off easy enough..For me it dipped a little but not enough to make me worry,,,kept a little up elevator as is picked up speed and then did a few passes back and forth at WOT,no trim needed... then a few Twistes left and right.. All in all the maiden went very well,,,, next is to try bungee launching it... There not fast but it was fun to fly, but I see now why it's called the Twister I'll get use to flying it as stock and then change over the EDF unit to somthing faster.. Sean
  7. Well theres CA glue comes in thick /Med /Thin , then theres foam safe CA glues and epoxies , and my fav , , , Gorilla Glue How did you get on flying?is there something we should know as your asking about glues Sean
  8. Prop turns look at it anti -clockwise from the front Ailerons Left Up/right down to turn left.... Right Up/left down to turn right. Elevator Up plane goes up. Down,,,well I think you'll work that one out.. Motor wire to ESC ,,, feed one wire through at a time,,, if not ,,,widen the hole.. Sean
  9. Gld to hear you've got them back. . Now that we've all read the story,,,,,,whens the film coming out.... Sean
  10. Is there a drain pipe you can climb up ,to get on to the roof ? Sean
  11. Nice... I'm picking up a Multiplex Twister later today....will be my first EDF.. Sean
  12. Jabba to the rescue.. If you can film the rescue...please do! ! !
  13. Go for a Hobbyling Plush 40amp ESC and buy the programing card aswell...they allso sell Watt meters ,,, which it a must when you start swapping around props. Sean
  14. I know how you feel... This is how my RadJet ended up on Sarteday,I'm gutted Sean
  15. Can allways tell them it could be a fire hazzard as the battery is a Li-Po and could explode,so your doing them a favour. Sean
  16. Best be there first thing in the morning ,,,, it mite have blown back down in the night.. Sean
  17. The friendly way works best... Failing that wait untill he's closed and bring a ladder.. A friend in our flying club has a cheap bow and a string line on a arrow for getting his planes out of trees.. Sean
  18. That does not sound good... With all Hobbyking ATF, your best to swapp out the ESC and Motor. Sean
  19. Maybe...... May even fit a larger/faster motor... theres a guy on youtube that has a RadJet doing around 150mph Sean
  20. I think Tam has sumed it up.. wing folding happens because of a few reasons not just full whack , and its not epic its a major fail and rebuild and possible injury to others, at 80mph+ its going to break bones hitting you. here is my take, i know sean had been testing jet for a glide, but each time it would spiral. he countered with full elevator up to keep a level'ish flat spin, landing like this several times, cause foam fractures from the rear leading edge, was only time before the Pos and Neg G's would start to weaken the area and cause wing to fail. even with carbon spar the frame was not perfect, and would have gone later than sooner. I've had serval bad launding with the RadJet and there are known for there tendancy to death dive..Just check out Youtube. My RadJet will never fly again , Theres only so many repairs you can do,but each time you repair, it adds more weight ... so I have stripped all the parts out of it and it's now in the bin.. Sean
  21. Killed my RadJet today  When I got the RadJet about a month ago, I never flew it with the stock motor(1800kv) I up-graded straight away to a Turnigy 2826-6 2200kv as I knew it would give me 80mph+ What I did not do was fit a carbon fiber spare in the wing for added strenght.. So today I was doing some high speed passes (showing off at the club field) next thing the right wing folded back on it's self and the RadJet came crashing to the ground Sean
  22. At least you got it back.. I use Spy SunGlasses http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Spy-Sunglasses-Sun-Glasses-DV-Mobile-Eyewear-Recorder-Hidden-Camera-Max-8GB-/390552191990?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_Video_Camcorders&hash=item5aeeb983f6 To record my flying vids... Sean
