Cheers twisty Trying to figure out how to upload photos so dont know if they will show. Came across a perfect size drone bag that could fit some of the original packaging in so its a great fit.

Just thought i would share my first views on the traxxas aton after a handful of flights. Out of the box if im honist it looks like a big mcdonalds toy and the Tx feels a bit cheap and looks like a games controler not that thats a problem but for £350 i exspected a bit better. I HATE the battery box lid looks like it will last 2 minutes as it isnt a proper hinge just a plastic strip , to solve this im going to ad a plastic hinge to the lid to make it a bit more robust. On the plus it comes with a super simple easy to use charger and i like the battery as its got the balance leads built into the main trx connector. First flight and i dont care about its mcdonald toy looks because im amazed at what it can do. SOOO EASY to fly in camera mode im sure my dog could fly it honist. Then i tried sports mode and it changes into a different animal it fast! Very fast. Makes a silly sausage pilot like me look half decent as it gives you confidence knowing you have air brakes if you get into trouble. Ive got it all wrong with the handset its perfect, super comfy and easy to use, and you dont need a degree like with the spektrum dx6i with its 3000 switches and inch thick manual. To top it all off the return to home is a sweeeet feature, can get you out of them sticky situations when its all going wrong. So to sum it up: Negatives The battery box lid is shocking A battery is 50 squid (omg) Your stuck up pro fpv buddys might laff at you when you show up with the mcdonalds toy and xbox handset. Positives Good flight times Control is TIDY Easy to use no hassle flying Great for a beginner to an advanced pilot with its 3 modes Value for money coming with a good balance charger and 3s lipo (45mins charge time) Sorry about my english im a welder

Hi daveyb82 I've got a supermotod 660 raptor on the road. There's a group of 5 of us that go out and have a hoot. The ltr, yfz , trx 450s are fast race quads that rev to the moon. The engines aren't built for reliability so in my opinion don't make good road legal quads. The ltz 400s use pritty much the same engine as the drz so are reliable, also the honda 400ex have bombproof engines. I pay

Moved the fan and put a bit of stainless mesh in wile a new casing arrives. Just been down the quarry with it, such a fun rc. I'm surprised how tuff it is I wasn't expecting all that much from it.

That does look a better way of mounting it slugsie looks like ill be ordering a new motor casing and doing it that way. What gearing are you using ? Cheers

I've fitted a fan and small heat sink see if it helps at all. Need to make some mesh as you say tnuol to keep all the junk out.

It does seem to be running cooler now I know I should probably keep away from 3s. I'm thinking of mounting a cooling fan on the motor side, see if that helps.The esc is not getting warm. It's just a standard xs she'll tnuol I do like the look of the wrangler shell tho. What brushless setups are you guys running ? Thanks logicpaul, I've heard it can try destroy itself but sounds great fun.

Hi just thought I'd show a few pics of my new savage I really enjoyed the build but the hpi screws supplied are truly terrible. It's got a 4000kv Ezrun motor and 60 amp Esc, first test it over heated and was pritty slow so was very disappointed . I reset the esc to zero timing and turned the drag brake down and so far running a lot cooler and pritty nippy. I fancied the xs as I have the hpi flux xl. Just need to get a set of matching bodies Its fantastic to drive I'm very happy with it. Haven't tried it on 3s tho but I've read it can cause problems with some of the drive train is this true ? Hi just thought I'd show you the damage to my savage flux gearbox. Does any body know why it would do this? i haven't bashed that hard. It's only been run 4 times although on 6s It has got big joe tyres fitted could this be a problem? Thanks Alex

Hi jonny how could i tell if it was filling the full capacity? and yes its was definitely on lipo charge. Hi tim did you have to buy a new charger ? maybe me been a wimp but it scared me a bit ,it did go with a big pop
