  1. Hiya mate, I use a Spektrum so no need for a fail safe. I also thread the wire from the battery out through the hole were the on/off switch is. Not good for wet conditions really. Hyper 9 battery box is the most awkward design I've ever seen, not well thought out at all. Ross
  2. Hi I was out on Friday with the H9, jumped it and landed on it's lid. Unfortunately I've managed to bend the fins on one side of the head. I reckon they'll probably snap if I try and bend them back. It doesn't appear to be afffecting engine temps but it does look a bit crap. Does anyone know where I can buy a new cooling head for a Rb WS7 III L2G? Cheers Ross
  3. The H9 oozes quality dosent it, i remember think how futuristic it looked when I opened the box. Ace!
  4. Haha pics of my tan? I tried to take a vid but it's quite hard to drive at the same time! Car just looks filthy now
  5. I was gonna get one of those, they look mint
  6. Nice one mate, I love my Hyper 9! Not many people have one either which I like.
  7. Pretty much as the title says! Took the day off today so I could have a bit of 'me' time with the H9. What a day to choose! Car ran brill all day, which is a first. Temps good, shocks good and I even got a bit of a tan! Only thing to go wrong was loosing a wheel nut and the clutch bell screw came loose. Cartwheels aplenty and loads of dodgy landings and no breakage, who said hyper 9's were made of cheese. Why can't everyday work out as well as that? Hosepipe time for the Hyper now as she's covered in a thick layer of greasy dust inside and out. Ross
  8. It's a toss up between this and the Serpent for me, I was looking at a vid of this on YouTube and it looks really good!
  9. If I can pursuade myself to part with the H9 hen I think this might be next on the list! Bit pricey though! http://www.team-durango.com/race-cars/dnx408/
  10. cheers guys, it's not perfect by any means and it took me pretty much a whole day to do it!
  11. I think it turned out ok, I reckon I need a white wing though.
  12. Thanks mate I thought that might be an easier way
  13. Got a new shell for the H9, should I paint it first, then trim it or trim it then paint it? Cheers Ross
  14. I use 30% in my .21, don't know where you've read it's bad coz that's rubbish. Not sure on the head protectors though. Ross
  15. I just use the venturi that it came with. Yeah you're right I did say I didn't mind it, but it is actually quite annoying. I find blipping the brakes tends to stop the high revving.
  16. Just wondering if anybody knew why RB's double tickover? After a run at WOT the engine still revs high for a while then goes back to normal. I know it's a characteristic of RB mills but it does my head in and to a degree spoils what is otherwise a near perfect engine. Ross
  17. RB's are awesome. Mine's so so fast!
  18. No mate, 1 for front and 1 for the back. The pads are glued onto the calipers. You need to remove the pads but leave the metal calipers in place.
  19. Remember you need to take the pads off to use craddocks. Only bare metal works with them. I have anti lock from and normal back on my H9 and it stops on a dime!
  20. I can dream! The double tickover doesn't bother me really, I just like the smooth power band and the screaming top end!
  21. I think the race driver might be the only thing that's lacking! Oh and I would take an RB over an OS anytime (unless it was whooping my ass!)
  22. Yeah it goes like the clappers and stops dead within a couple of meters. I've not raced it yet but given it some right stick and the dffs have been fine. I rebuilt the diffs etc using the setups on nitrohouse.com. Handles ace. Ross
  23. Yeah mate is was dead easy to do. A coat of lame flake then backed up in black. Looks ace in he sun when it sparkles all different colours!
