  1. Hi guys, I just discovered this thread so I thought I'd add a couple of pics of my firestorm and get this thread revived! Had it a couple of years now and bought it as a step into nitro but I love it and still use it loads. I just can't believe there a next to no hop ups for it?! It's pretty much standard, I've added a failsafe and since the pics it's got geolanders and upgraded to 2.4ghz
  2. Chap this is **AMAZING**, you must be so proud of it! I befits heartbreaking when you crash it Yet another +1 on the McLaren livery, the chrome would look amazing if you feel you can pull it off!
  3. Looks sweet! I've been very tempted myself....
  4. Hello chap, I'd like a set of the 32R's if they're still available?

  6. Haven't done anything for a long while so today I ran a couple of tanks through the firestorm and fitted new geolanders. Awaiting arrival of a new lipo and brushless system for the touring car! Fingers crossed it all arrives before Christmas

  10. Hi guys! I'm new to nitro cars, absolutely loving my Firestorm but i'm seriously getting through the AA batteries that im putting in the standard battery holder. I've decided it's about time i bought a receiver hump pack, but i'm not too sure what to look for. Different packs seem to have different connectors etc etc. Many thanks for any help! James
  11. I had a very similar problem, if you follow servo's instructions then you shouldnt really go wrong, i think its all about the idle adjustment screw and how it governs the position of the carb at idle. keep plodding at it though, you'll eventually hit it sweet!
  12. Hi guys, apologies for this, i'm sure you've heard it all before! i've been using electric cars for years but this is my first nitro model. I've done my homework and been very patient (very unlike me) and have read the manual many times and watched the hpi dvd at least 3 times! The trouble is, i cannot for the life of me get the thing to idle for more than 5 seconds. I have adjusted the idle needle settings and even at a slightly higher than idle rpm, it still only lasts 5 seconds then stalls. I'm wondering if its running a little too rich at idle, i tipped the car on its side and shed loads of what seemed to be a mixture of oil and unburnt fuel (?) came pouring out of the exhaust. I believe i have to let it idle through 3-4 tanks before i can take it for its first run, at this rate its going to take me months if i have to keep restarting it! many thanks in advance!
  13. Hi guys, i'm currently breaking in my new firestorm (my first nitro) and it seems the throttle servo is trying to pull the carb valve out. i was just wondering if this is normal? i removed the air filter with the engine off and you can see the valve moving over to the right when opening the throttle. it just doesnt look right! many thanks for any help!
