  1. Hi, I bought a Rustler VXL from eBay a week or so ago and it came with a load of spares, some surplus to requirements. So I'm moving them one. 1 x Bandit body shell, with spoiler - it's seen some action for sure but, has been patched up and is in one solid piece. £15 2 x Fastrax 95mm alloy adjustable shocks & springs - these are brand new and have never been fitted. They measure 87mm between mounting holes and are the equivalent size to Traxxas Long shocks, those fitted as stock to Rustlers etc... £10 2 x Traxxas Ultra Shocks (long) - these are used but in very nice condition. Complete with green bump stops and stock linear rate springs. The springs are a little tatty but fully functional. £8 2 x 86t (48DP) Traxxas spur gears - One is brand new and the other is used with no visible wear. £2 each 2 x 21t Traxxas pinions - both look to be brand new. £2 each 1 x 31t Traxxas pinion - looks to be brand new. £2 1 x battery voltage alarm (for LiPo) - £3 2 x Traxxas 2WD motor/ spur gear covers - One looks to be used, with no damage and the other looks brand new. £2.50 each 1 x Traxxas front bulkhead with bumpers - is most likely used but with no damage to the bulkhead. Bumpers have scrapes from use. £4 1 x Traxxas bulkhead tie bar set in green alloy - brand new fits the 4x4 Rustler, not the 2WD as far as I can tell. £5 1 x pair of Traxxas XX Long stock shafts - brand new. £2.50 (no image attached as I'd reached the limit with the rest!) All prices are plus P&P and I'm always open to reasonable offers. Any question, please shout. Paul
  2. No longer required.
  3. Got one, so please ignore. Paul
  4. Hi, What car did you but them for, it of interest? I'm after a 3S for a Rustler 2WD VXL and the MS ad would suggest they fit. Cheers, Paul
  5. Hi, I have for sale my Maverick Strada XT brushless truggy. Very low use, having had maybe 10 runs. The truggy is in excellent condition, having just had several new parts fitted last week including full chassis, rear driveshafts and diff cups. I've reinforced the chassis front and rear (reason why a replacement was required), and modified the chassis to take larger batteries. As part of the chassis rebuild, the diffs were also been fully stripped down, cleaned and re-greased with high quality Teflon grease. Other modifications include a larger 17t pinion that's fitted along with alloy Nyloc wheel nuts and stainless fixings throughout. I've added better quality rubber sealed bearings in specific areas too. It's goes and drives very well! I have some alloy suspension/ steering parts I'll include in the sale, along with some other miscellaneous spare parts. The original transmitter is included of course. I also have the original box. The only rough part is the shell which is somewhat battered. It is still in one piece having been stuck together and reinforced with fibreglass tape. So can be used and is functional. I've never used the car without it. New ones are readily available of course but, I don't see the point of replacing myself, as it'll only get battered again. Ready to run on 2S or 3S packs, you'll just require batteries for the controller, a battery for the car and a charger. These are NOT supplied as part of the sale. Any questions, please ask. I'm based in Silverstone in Northamptonshire. I'd like £100 for it and would prefer payment via PayPal Friends & Family ideally. Shipping is possible at buyers cost. I also have a barely used (less than 5 charge cycles) Gens Ace 7.4v 4000mAh Bashing pack for sale. I used a 5500mAh version when bashing the XT, and this one was barely used so may as well move it on too. I'd like £15 for it. Cheers, Paul
  6. Hi, I'm looking for some decent camber/ toe/ steering links or rod ends for the stock parts turnbuckles, for my XT. I've had some success removing slop from the stub axles at each wheel, and now want to do the same with the suspension and steering links. There's clearly a plethora of available parts, some very fancy looking but, as I learnt with the alloy uprights I bought, I'm sure most will be worse than the stock parts for play. Any advice welcome. Paul
  7. Hi, As above, I'm after a 2WD Rustler VXL , and preferably one of the later models. Condition should be as good as possible. What do you have? Cheers, Paul
  8. Thanks but it's not the hinge pins. I've just fitted the rear alloy uprights, an hour ago and have thread locked the grub screws. I put a washer between the upright and inside of the arm as there was slop there. Now there's no play there but plenty in the stub axles. I've just seen that Blacksmith Products sell stainless stub axles. They're £5 a pair so worth a punt to see if they're a tighter fit. I had thought about wrapping some PTFE or electrical tape around the stub axle to reduce the clearances but, I'm not sure how well that would last. Might be worth an experimentation I guess. Re the wing, that looks like an XB wing, I've got an XT. Paul
  9. That's a shame. When I first got into RC cars, probably 35 years ago, the Mardave Meteor I had didn't have slop where the XT does or anywhere I don't recall. A pretty poor show give we're in 2021. I think I'll just start buying 3rd party replacements and see if any fix or reduce the issue. They're cheap enough. Thanks for the heads up on the chassis reinforcement. That area looks an odd place for a weak point, unless it's regularly driven into static objects I guess. I think it's body shells that I'll get through the most, as I have a tendency to flip the car over and land on the area that causes it to shatter. Fibre reinforced tape seems to work well though. I've already started replacing all the screws and other fixings with stainless steel parts, so will look to buy longer, self tapping screws too. Paul
  10. Hi, I've recently bought a brushless XT and I'm very disappointed in the amount of slop in the drivetrain. The stub axles in the hubs/ uprights specifically. I bought an aluminium upright kit in the hope that it would improve the situation but, it hasn't. The culprit seems to be how loose a fit the stub axles are in the hub bearings. Are there any 3rd party stub axles or CVJ axles that offer a better fit? Or any mods owners have made to improve the slop? Cheers, Paul
