That sounds a good size, yes smoothy, extend the hyper shell to fit body. Spud, sorry to be a pain again, but have you got some buggy wheels to put in the wheel arches? Just for a bit of perspective like.

What you thinking Nitroholic?????? You could basically do the job easy peasy. ( I apologise if this is what you meant.) Take a 1/8th buggy, Take the chassis as a template and extend it. Re-fit front and rear ends, find long centre driveshafts and job's a good 'un? That would give you a better wheelbase/width ratio, but finding a shell to fit might be a problem still.

If you could matey, sorry to be a pain. Spares i think would be the major issue.

Thats pretty meaty, I might be able to transfer most of my hyper stuff across to that. What about driveshafts and wheels?Have you got a pic of the centre? Will the h7 centre diff and stays fit? Ah, some many Q's. No probs smoothy, I would prefer to make some sort of scale car but i am trying to iron out the difficulties now.

I didn't say i wanted a hyper with a rally shell. I asked what would it take to convert. Unfortunately, the digging i have done so far is not turning up much, hence i asked on here. Changing the wheelbase/width ratio is gonna be a royal pain. Unless there is a conversion kit already, it's looking like custom parts. EXPENSIVE, hope swmbo isn't looking. I think i'll email the guys who do the bodyshell's for some advice. See if they know anyone that has attempted it. Getting dimensions of the shell might be a start. Ok, just seen nitros post above, This is beginning to look like hard work.

Standard chassis? Think most will fit bud, with a wee bit of dremelling.

Onroad and Bazooka, thats the body's i was thinking off cheers. Nitro, What about shortcourse truck wheels and tyres? Anyone got a piccy of buggy wheels next to 1/10th shortcourse wheels? Number 2 on your list is gonna cause major probs i reckon. 1/10th arms could probably be modded somehow but using the dogbones????? Will they have enough strength?

Hey up guys, I was just wondering if it would be possible to convert a hyper 7 to a rally car? Sorry to sound a bit dumb but i reckon it would make a good platform for it. Anyone done it? I know you can get 1/8th bodyshells, but what about shorter a arms, or could you just use the originals and stiffen up the suspension? Any thoughts, advice?
