  1. If you find any give me a shout for a meet up - looking in the same area too.
  2. Cheers mond - great to get your insight. It's sounds about right for me. Shame about the diffs - one thing I really liked on the Savage. It'll mainly be street running so maybe 6s won't be as harsh? I don't quite get the traction roll - is that something inherent from rock crawling - super stiff swaybar to lock it totally, or am I missing the point - is it a feature? I am clueless when it comes to crawling. Going from Baja days, is shimming the crap out of the steering / wheels an option? Totally agree with the detail, it's what sucking me in and really interested in a brand I haven't tried before. Just going on the vids I've seen it looks very light and agile compared to my 5ive and Blackout - gotta make sure adjust for the mass compared to those two. Hope close to Savage toughness as some YouTube vids bash the s**t to of it without major damage. But some forum post talk about it stripping gears in 15 mins.
  3. Great thread with loads tips. I'm thinking bout picking up an XL kit but not much on here about how they run. Any opinions of how any XL owners have found it? I've only got local parks and a but of street running. Had a savage flux for general bashing if it's similar. Handling looks all over the shop though, especially the steering with loads play?
  4. On other think if you do venture to Hackney. One of the warden's thought he was tasty and said 'I'm gonna destroy that car - break it up now!' Just before I showed him an email which said could use rc but not I a group (they changed it since then by the sounds of it from Joks) I thought ya touch my car and I'm gonna rip ya head off and s**t down ya neck son. Just be careful and get ready for a ruck - 1 or 2 are getting very cocky. From grounds men to grass police...my arse.
  5. I was there when one of the residents came ranting about the noise around a year ago. Been there a few times since but just with a mate so 2 1/5th's. I've got so disheartened with nowhere to bash I picked up an Xo-1 a few days ago for razzing around carparks and thought about getting a Yeti Xl so I'd switch to electric and sell the 5ive. While getting it ready I just thought NO WAY! My 5ive is the one car I've had that has just been amazing from day 1. Last time I was there I thought where have they all gone? Surely everybody didn't just quite and sell up? I was thinking to try Wickes carPark /under the flyover at Barking? Their is a rough side road there for the Ind estate which looks dead of peeps.
  6. Dragging this back up from the deep - does anybody know if this is still an issue with the 2013 Blackouts? Just picked one up used and concerned I'm gonna be getting this problem.
  7. I was tempted but after seeing (more hearing) one running I stuck to the Dom. Got an OBR prostock to chuck in for more powa! Thought about going that route?
  8. So did you guys meet up? Need a site for my 5ive - looks like Hackney Marshes is no longer viable in London.
  9. Hello All, Has anybody done this? While installing a Dom I noticed the whole engine was loose. After flipping it I saw two engine inserts missing so while replacing these I'm wondering if I should just change the pinion as well (run on grass, looking for more top). Also the missus bought over an OBR. 30.5 Prostock for me last month from the States but want to get a decent amount of run time with the stock 26 and the Dom that she also picked up for me. I know you lose some low end with higher gearing - but is it major by going up 1 or 2 teeth? Worth going up or not much that much top? Cheers.
  10. How did you get on with this? Just installed a Dominator on my 5ive with a silencer. Only started it up in the garden so no running yet and at idle it's about the same as a stock muffler. Definitely takes the sting out of the Dom.
  11. I'll take it. Pm'ed / payment sent
  12. Mate, if your round East London give me a shout - you can have some runtime on my Baja's and my Savage Flux. Might help give you an idea on which way would be good to go.
  13. Think Sphinx has got it spot on- some good looking ones on the 'Bay right now. Fair points made for the KM's, just not a fan of clone anything. Each to there own, I guess
