Hi guys, im thinking of buying this lipo shorty pack http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141403977554&alt=web But my servos support max 6v (stock spektrum dbxl servos) so im undecided what regulator to get, lipo is a whole new ball game for me, ive read up on the 2 types of regulators (switchable and linear) by the sounds of it switchable be better for me? Im thinking of getting this http://www.bmmracing.co.uk/nosram-lipo-regulator-p-2751.html is this a good choice? but also the connectors on battery aint futaba like on the regulator so whats best way to connect them? Or any other setup you recommend? It has to be a shorty battery as im.using the area rc servo tray so room is tight and this particular battery ive chosen the leads have a right angle so gives more space Cheers :-)

Hi guys, need some advice, i have the core code rc 3 chan handset (see link below) at the mo im using NiMah batterys but ive just bought an area rc alloy radio tray and my battery wont fit inside it so i need a smaller pack so my only option is lipo as the packs are smaller, problem is i dont know if my rx will support lipo? The packs im using at mo are 6v, any ideas? Hi guys, i really need a piece of silicon tubing about 6cm long for my samba pipe on my dbxl, its for the join where the springs are but i dont know the size n i dont want to buy wrong size as my measuring is gimp at best! Anyone know the inner diameter for the tubing please? :-(

hi guys, i need a new one of these that wrap around my samba pipe for my DBXL: Anyone know where can i get one :s ? actually, its only the rubbery/foamy bit i need, what material is it i will see if i can find it on ebay, obviously it has to be heat proof but i dunno what material it is ? cheers

hi guys, im trying to find a couple of parts that i need, the first is for the sway bar, its just the connector ball joint bit i need (see pic) and second is the brake rod, just the actual rod (see pic) ive found them in sets which cost silly money as they come sold as a pack with other bits that i dont need! so im just trying to find them single, any ideas? Hi guys! aye i read somehwere else the price about area rc alloy, jon at jokerdesigns was good prices though :-) ive looked at the quality of what ive got so far and all looks good quality, but like you say, guess its a thing of hit and miss but so far for me its good ... Touch wood!! :-)

Hi guys :-) My DBXL arrived last week, great condition just a bit dirty, anyway ive decided to make it my new project as my FG is complete! Which means, full alloy, ot came with a samba pipe which i believe is 1 of the best pipes for a DBXL, and also has the upgraded cvd's, in the near future im going to upgrade the mill to a zen 320 prob. So i ordered the following parts which is all Area RC alloy as this is the brand im going to use as ive heard nothing but good reviews about the brand. Front & Rear chassis brace Clutch Carrier Centre shaft mount Front top brace Alloy servo horns Bought it all from jon @ http://www.jokerdesigns.co.uk top guy and delivery was very quick, i highly recommend him :-) I also bought a few bits from hobbythek including the dbxl rear spoiler, losi to fg rim adapter, Area RC engine mount, skid plates. Next on my list will be front and rear shock towers, then will start on the diffs, will also upgrade the 4 dogbones as well but im not to sure yet which ones to get, tomoz im gonna be stripping the dbxl down and rebuild it along with a good clean, will update this thread regulary with the progress :-) My 1st goody bag from jokerdesigns :-)

Cool, thanks for that momd, i wasnt sure on the shafts, the guy who ive bought it off says hes upgraded the main shafts which he bought from freeprawn, not sure which ones they are yet as the dbxl is being delivered to me today, so will have a look, you got a link for the hoonage ones you have dude?
