You don't state wether you want 4s or 6s though. Esc/motor combo 6s capable (check if it is waterproof):http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=181349020823 Edited September 21, 2014 by optimus
andy1787
Thanks a lot guys you have been very helpful i have a lot to look into like which battery's are best to use because i want a least half an hour off 1 battery but still want the power and is hobbyking the best place to look for battery's and a charger because i am local to modelsport but will buy elsewhere if they sell better stuff
jony nitro
Well local to MS is good and bad, you will spend more the Overlander charger is good value for money yes lipo wise Hobbyking is the norm,
andy1787
Optimus is this combo any good http://www.modelsport.co.uk/hobbywing-ezrun-combo-sc-c4-2000kv-sc8-waterproof/rc-car-products/376991
optimus
I'm still new to the whole brushless thing as a returnee to the hobby after 10 years off but here's my 2 pence worth: I've got that esc as mentioned earlier and it's been good so far. I brought mine second had with a program box off of a fellow forum member. That motor seems to be quite popular on here either in 2200kv or 2000kv so I think it must be decent. If you want to buy a combo locally and without having to worry about returning a faulty item back to Hong Kong then go for it but I would say you should think about if you would like to run 6s in the long run. If so, spend a bit more and get the 150a esc.
andy1787
4s should be fine it is mainly for bashing but i dont need a radio yet because the old 1 should work fine for now so where is the best place to buy a good charger
optimus
Modelsport are going to have pretty much everything you'll need. eBay has some for decent prices too if you'd prefer: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=271277317926 Or have a look in classifieds on this forum: http://www.msuk-forum.co.uk/topic/199353-core-rc-uac-50-charger/#entry2062914 I have a rebranded version of the overlander charger that I also brought from classifieds on this forum and it's been good to me so far. The core charger seems decent too, it just can't match the amp rating of the overlander.
andy1787
Apart from the battery's and conversion kit is the anything else i need to add to the list
optimus
Apart from the battery's and conversion kit is the anything else i need to add to the list You'll need a pinion of your choice. An 18t and a 16t would be good places to start with a standard spur. Does the charger come with a power supply? Also, I take it you have batteries and a radio? andy1787
Well i have the radio that came with the car and i am gonna have to find some battery's but am not sure which would be best and the charger comes with a power supply i think
optimus
Well i have the radio that came with the car and i am gonna have to find some battery's but am not sure which would be best and the charger comes with a power supply i think Hobbyking for the lipo's. They also show the size (dimensions) of the batteries so you'll know if it will fit your battery tray. Just make sure you order from the UK warehouse or you'll be waiting weeks for your order to come from a US warehouse or something. Furthermore, have you got a conversion kit? I don't remember reading that you do have one...
andy1787
I was gonna get this

andy1787
I might try the 1 on modelsport and see how that 1 is plus its cheaper
ts4n
The conversion kit from msuk is good you want a losi battery tray as it had a built in esc mount http://www.jemodels.com/index.php?app=gbu0&ns=prodshow&ref=LOS8P-A4461
optimus
I might try the 1 on modelsport and see how that 1 is plus its cheaper Modelsport actually have the hyper 7 specific conversion kit now: http://www.modelsport.co.uk/absima-brushless-conversion-kit-for-ethnic-hobao-hyper-7-ansmann-virus-terrier/rc-car-products/369638 Using one instead of the hyper 8 kit (which I have) will mean you won't have to put any spacers under the motor mount to get everything to line up/mesh properly.
