Cammie838
Are you gonna lock the tranny in second gear? I heard that if not it will still rip up an S50 tranny cos of the amount of torque those mambas have got! I'd love to do an electric conversion on one of mine, but I know nothing about lipo's or the electric side of things at all really...If I did do one I'd go down the centre diff route I think...Gonna be watchin this one mate!!
sean-vrs
Going run it with the transmission as it is, I've spoke to afew yanks on ultimate rc running the same setup without any issues as yet. I'll gear it up aswell if I have issues as to gradually help the torque curve.
Cammie838
It might of been the first version of the S50 gearbox I'm thinking about then that had problems handling brushless power... The yanks seem to know their stuff when it comes to trucks... The original MonsterGt.com was my bible for years lol!

sean-vrs
traxxas plugs dont like the 10awg on the mamba so what do the electrickery people recommend ? deans or bullets ? i do run a slash with a couple of 3s so i will have to change them
jony nitro
I use EC5
Toxic Basher
Yep ec5 here too, easier to solder but a bit trickier to pull apart, just don't buy cheap ones, I ruined the plastic holders on a good few of the cheaper ones.
sean-vrs
Great cheers, these traxxas plugs just ain't going cut it with 10awg wire. Cut away and sorted the old battery box Plenty more room now, and a quick mock up.
