Joshyjol
After an earlier post, I received advice about these engines and I thought brill, I'll get one. http://www.nitro-rc.co.uk/radio-controlled-model/LRP-Nitro-Engine-Z-21R-Spec-2-Pullstart.html I was going to pair it with a JP4. Then I heard about these! http://www.jespares.com/nitro-models?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=11768&category_id=264 Still undecided, I was looking and heard about these! http://www.modelsport.co.uk/index.php?product_id=40066 And now I've just seen these at a very tempting price http://www.lancastermodelshop.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/ModelAndHobbyWorld/_RBONEE001/413655/RB%20One%20%2E21%20Engine%20with%20RB%20Pipe%207%20Port%20Motor%20Taken%20from%20brand%20new%20RB%20One%20Cars%20 Whats best, not bothered about the prices as they are all nearish the same? Just don't want to get a dud of an engine! Please help
RooBoonix
the LRP engines are supposed to be very good, as are the Argus engines, to be honest, I would go for the LRP as I have heard many good reviews about their engines. the RB I think is more of a race engine and wont last as long as say the Argus or LRP, saying that, picco engines are also supposed to be very good. The 2 engines that I would narrow it down to are the Picco and the LRP, and out of them, like I said I would go for the LRP. Up to you tho mate
Joshyjol
Just found out that the lrp listed is discontinued now so about scepticle about buying it, also it's a pull start and would prefer one without. So it's now out of the Picco and the Argus (liking the argus atm )
Feisty84
The Argus is a great value competition engine. It pulls like a train even when slightly rich and it certainly holds its own with other higher price brands.
jony nitro
ARgus but you need a starter box
Feisty84
Indeed, and a good quality one too, as the engine is quite tight when new and needs some good torque to turn it over (and probably a good session with a hairdryer to warm it up first for break in)
Nitro-king
what helps your nitro engine to go faster then filter, fuel, pullstart, big thing on top is it a cilinder head

Joshyjol
so have you decided then what engine to get The argus me thinks, gunna treat myself, can just say Santa came early And he delivered a few other rc goodies haha And your quest for power... Errmm well in order of opinion, fuel, glow plug, air filter, gearing, wheels + tires. (meanwhile tuning the engine when doing it all) If you want more after that then you'll be getting at details, chassis setup, susspension, aerodynamics, weight, diffs..
