I'm a complete novice and isolated in lock down😩 (Heart transplant)😊 Bored, bored, bored! I have been looking online to buy an electric RC so I could play about with, the more I look the more confused I have become. I don't want a race track winner or big time 'pig' (kiwi slang). Finally I decided before I spend money on an electric, I should go into the shed and dig out a Nitro RC which I exchanged for a 'real 351 V8 and FMX box' just before I left NZ to live in the UK in 2000. Easier to pack a RC than full V8😂. I have very little knowledge of he car I have except it was very quick and competitive in it's day!
Some details
Wheel base 280mm width 230mm, Aluminum chassis, engine Novarossi 2.5 belt drive Rear Wheel. Tires are glued on and the guy made them himself (I'm sure you can buy now). Rims: rear 50mm dia X 50mm wide, front 50mm dia X 30mm width. All shocks are closed. All parts seem to be alloy (lots and lots of spares). No body 😢No photos yet as it's filthy from being in the shed!
Should I keep as Nitro or can I convert to Electric?
I really need a project to keep me busy while in lock down, and for me this could be some time😭. I am mechanical (Own Saab Viggens).
Any thoughts on what scale I have?
Body's I could buy?
Could I use to drag?
Just remember this car won NZ nationals for what ever class it is.
Thanks in anticipation . Take care out there.
