Nope, I don't think any Hyper's come with both holes drilled.

You need to drill the hole at the back so it goes on the body post.

There are different ways of breaking an engine in. I've always done: 1 tank idling , 2 tanks very low to 1/4 throttle, 3 tanks half throttle, 2 tanks full throttle, then another 1-2 tanks tuning and getting stuff sorted. But like I said, there are different ways of doing it, that's just the way I do it. People say that the traxxas method is a good one too Does the shell have both holes for the body mounts drilled?

Took the revo out earlier for a quick run. Right from the start I could tell something wasn't quite right, it was making a hell of a noise for a start. It was like a screaming cat The accelaration wasn't very good either. I went over to it to stop it and noticed a crap load of smoke coming from the slipper area/transmission. At first I thought the gears in the transmission had melted cos it stank of burning plastic (and I fitted a FOC last week so thought I might have done something wrong..). So anyways I took it home and took the transmission out and opened it up. Nothing wrong with it, gears were fine. Then I happened to touch the slipper and there was a bit of a "oh ****" moment cos it was bloody hot. I mean seriously hot, and that was after about 10mins. So I took the spur off (also lost one of the screws that hold it on ) Now I don't know much about slipper clutches and how the pads should look etc, but I'm guessing not like this (it's the closest I could get the camera before it went blurry): I set the slipper up when I changed the spur before I got the new engine so when the transmission was locked I could turn the spur but with quite a bit of force. I tested it now and it's loosened a bit. Is that what caused this? Also when I was fitting the FOC I wasn't quite sure what I was doing at the start so ended up taking off the 2 speed adjustment thing. I put it back on but didn't realise what I was doing and tightened the screw all the way up. Is that the problem?

Nice one Damn, shoulda noticed they were 23mm hexes, I've got 17mm. Fancy a set of axial beadlock wheels with big joes or bow ties now.. Customs charges! Tell me about it I got stung for £40.87 for the RB I've got the revo pretty much how I wanted it now. I'd like a set of RPM front arms and rear truetrack kit and the wheels/tyres I mentioned, but they're more of a want for the sake of spending money rather than a need I can get the rpm arms and truetrack for £45 posted from rcmart, might get em around christmas time. Apart from that I fancy either the TRX red pushrods or the integy carbon ones, and newera servo skids, integy full lenth skid plate, ally shock ends.... the list goes on

Got my Spektrum DX3E today Also fitted a FOC last week... Finished the break in not this weekend past but the one before that. Pics: Stubby aerial Will it affect range? It really is tiny, doesn't come close to coming out the shell... And a random pic:

Got it sorted, changed the thing on the TX from 50/50 to 70/30. I've ordered a spektrum DX3E for it this morning, can I do the same sort of thing on that? It was pretty obvious when I was running it in/tuning it that it wasn't getting to full revs. I was disappointed bu the no wheelies
