  1. Thanks guys, I found that site earlier but it shows up 3 different sizes of shafts, 63,75 and 78mm. I ruled out the 63 but it still could have been the other 2. Found this site after a bit of searching which helped http://www.bensrc.com/10341_exploded.htm I only used the car for 10 minutes after breaking the engine in and kerbed it, broke 5 pieces in total. They have cost me more than half of what the GF paid for the whole car in the first place. I guess this is going to be a expensive hobby
  2. Anyone here got access to the user manual for the Smartech speedy tiger? I need the part number for the front drive shafts (Universal joint shaft). My VH X5 is exactly the same as the speedy tiger but the parts seem to be nearly impossible to find. I can see 3 different sizes on various websites but they don't state if they are the front shafts and mines too bent to try and measure Cheers !!
  3. Its official I'm a idiot....crystals where installed the wrong way round when I got the car, so I copied them. TX was in the controller...now I can finally fire the car up Thanks for everyones help.
  4. Been messing about with this now for 2 days and still can't get it to work. I tried a new set of crystals and it still has exactly the same problem, as soon as I turn it on lots of movement from the servos and no response to the controller. I've checked all the wires from the battery pack to the reciever box and checked the arial and still nothing... The only time the servo's stop moving is when I take out the crystal in the reciever box Would I get this problem if the batteries were low? I know I bought a new pack but they may have been on the shelf a while.
  5. Hey all, My GF bought me a Speed Master VH-X5 for my birthday but I'm having some trouble before I've even managed to fire it up. I understand its not the greatest of cars from what I've already read on the internet but its fine to get started with and can't blame the GF Basically as soon as I switch the cars battery power on both the servos start moving really eratically backwards and forwards. I was using rechargeable batteries in both the controller and the car so I bought a brand new packet of Duracell to try out in the car but it still does it, although I don't know how long they have been on the shop shelf. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
