There will always be a trade off with strength for lightness/flex. Most top end race models are all Alloy. This offers amazing strength and lightness. Most good race drivers will not really bend much (usually) as the lap times are fairly consistent. Where as a basher may go for the bigger jump. But both types of driving style are more than capable of breaking plastic and bending Alloy. I have seen full Alloy cars tumble down the main straight and then carry on racing, just the same as I have seen plastic ones do the same. Either could have broke or bent. Obviously plastic is better for the budget. In answer to your question. Personally I think all arms to be plastic would be a good compromise, cheap enough to replace (spares in your box) and flexible and light. I think there is an argument for both sides to be honest.

FG Baja 26cc used but in good condition. XXXX See updated at the bottom XXXX This model was purchased several months ago as a project car to upgrade and improve. A change of heart means the model is now for sale. So far I have fitted: Alloy engine mounts large & small Alloy gear carrier The wing is not standard. It's the more durable polypropylene wing (unbrakable) well almost. The model has been fully stripped included the diff re-packed with suitable grease. Everything has been cleaned and replaced where necessary. Including shock oil, air filter ect. The model will require radio equipment to complete. It is fitted with a Zenoah 26cc engine that I have now tuned and runs great. Engine Fires on the 1st pull and runs on the 2nd or 3rd with great power. Any inspection is welcome as is collection in person. The model is used so the usual ware marks are evident. This will now make a great basher or racer. The model can be posted 1st class Royal Mail if required as shown.

As above. Car has full Alloy and Hydro brakes front and rear, lay shaft hydro on the rear. Upgrades include Triple A front, rear bumpers, side pods and rear wing. Car has been stripped and cleaned. The body shell is however from an earlier Leopard with signs of use, but very usable. The model will require engine, exhaust, radio. This car retails at over 2K but is a roller.
