  7. Hi i have seen some vids on you tube with guys that have put Traxxas TRX 3.3 engines in there rc10 gt's does any 1 know if the motor fits straight in or what mods need to be made to fit it onto the mounts. Cheers Simon.
  8. hey since the engine rebuild and got past the pull start breaking i have tuned the carb and the car has not faultered i changed the rear tyres too and it wheelies like a good un now i have put some dirt paw on and the grip on grass is awsome it grips so much it goes straight wen ya try an turn lol i have sorted this though with a dab of brake before turning in it seems faster than i remember 2 so all is good just trying to get my mates to dig there cars out now so we can thrash em around like we used to. Also i will be moving to cleckeaton soon so if any 1 knows any where good for taking the car would love to hear any where. Simon.
  9. Its all ok been out tonight and the pull start was faultless engine perfect so will be tuning the carb up next time out, o and i was glad the throttle didnt stick and car flip over which resulted in me having to rebuild the engine in the first place that was along time ago 2,havent been out with the car for ages until yesterday so its been great and reinfused my love of the rc car. simon.
  10. Ye fixed it now just a pain when ya spent time getting the engine built and looking forwards to getting it run in asap so ya can blast around lol waiting for the weekend to try again the coil spring had come out of the holder so i made sure it was firmly in place. Simon
  11. Simon
  12. Nice 1, try getting a nos kit LOL that will work for sure it might blow ya engine up and you might need to inform the air service of low flying baja's Simon

  17. Hi what kind of shelf life does nitro fuel have i have had a bottle of blue thunder for about 3 years do ya recon it will still be ok to use?? Simon
  18. The heat will get dispersed through the mounts i would check on the temp of the engine just to make sure that it is not getting too hot and that there is plenty of space for the air to cool the mounts off when running but it does happen with engine mount bolts sometimes Simon
  19. Thanks for that ordered them now nice 1, compared to other makes of engine they are expensive for what they are, o well done now should be up and runing again soon. Cheers Simon
  20. Thats right its because they are tightened from heat expansion which causes the heat to build up when undoing them thats what the burning smell is i have had this a few times like i said its due to the metals expanding at different temperatures they get welded together a little and are hard to get out, plenty of lube left to soak in will be some thing that will help a little. Simon
  21. Ye the heat from the engine will have kinda welded the the bolts to the mounts, the undoing of them will cause heat to be generated as they will have become an interferance fit, this happens when 2 different metals expand with different heat ranges. Simon
