  1. There's plenty running 2838 motors in their truggy, the stock truggy 2850 motor is actually pretty good as I have one in mine running 20t pinion it is performing very well, I put a tenshock 6850kv in my sons emb-1 and it didn't last that long even on 2s but the leopard motor I run in my lwb emb-1 is still going strong it is actually one of the best motors I have in all of the mini's if you can get one I recommend them although I am not too sure they are readily available now. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1053410821381691/ This group is not bad and I bought a few spares from Jonny Pinky Baker who was an importer for lc racing and couldn't be beaten on prices although I am unsure if he still does sell it might be worth asking him 👍. Truggy motor was £34 including postage from him. Si
  2. I know the out drives can wear quite badly over time on the emb's and that's on 2s so they must have improved them on the lc12b1's which is needed. Running on 6s will test the whole drive chain and if it is holding up then it shows how good they are, it must be flying on them, what kind of speeds are you getting.
  3. Yes it will, 2838 motors are used in them most of the time I'veseen 2850 emb truggy motors in them also, 12mm hex you can use 1/10 touring/drift wheels, essentially runs the same as the emb-1 buggy this is my lwb buggy it is the same size as the lc12b1.
  4. They commented on Facebook stating it was not an authorised model, quite a few on the lc pages where asking about them. I have seen an in depth video on YouTube of one being stripped down, the diff bearings are different sizes to the lc and there is no slipper it is direct drive, a cheap clone of an emb-1 with a 540 brushed motor stuck in it, I think wltoys just RIP off any rc company and the Chinese copyright laws aren't really in existence lol. Si.
  5. It's a RIP off of the lc buggy, it has been around a few months now, lc racing put a statement out about it, it isn't built like the lc brand as you say it looks shoddy and it is, wltoys at it again copying other brands 🙄
  6. Finally got around to making the emb a lwb, painted the phat bodies shell basic but it works ok, carbon wrap on the chassis. I have stuck the fan back on the esc, to think I had that on the top deck of the normal short emb I had to raise the body so that it fit in ok, loads of room on the chassis now. Si.
  7. 1/10 version is being tested by different racers, looks very nice. Si.

  11. Had the clear truggy shell awhile after I had a crash and split the original, painted it today.
  12. Had a crash, broke the front shock tower and smashed the losi mini8 shocks and body, replaced the tower and swapped to lc shocks now and have a clear body ready to paint when I get around to it.

  15. Been a while since I last touched the cars so thought I'd finish the truggy build from my spares box, running the 2850 motor and 20t pinion on 2s it is pretty quick. Si
  16. I use 1/10 touring car wheels they are 24mm wide, I generally go for 6mm offset to get a slightly wider wheel base giving a bit more stability. I run the touring wheels on all of my mini scale. Pic of the 2s batteries I use. Si.

  24. Trac off road have just changed their ruling to allow them to be run in micro class . They are 225mm wheel base the same as the long wheel base coverted emb buggies which quite a few have strated running. Just passing info on from their Facebook page as some don't use Facebook. Si.
