  1. WHEHEY!!! are we turning this into another Apex bashing thread then?? i know they arnt perfect, but for goodness sake, do we have to keep waffling on about the same things in a different topic?? there have been enough R/C shops go under lately and i personally wouldnt want to see another go under, no matter who they are. if you dont like them, dont shop there. why give them ten lashes at every opportunity?? i dont see many people talking about there bad experiences with Modelsport, they might not have many issues, but i sure as hell think many wont moan on here about them..partly because they wont like it and i bet the thread wouldnt stay around for long either.........but allowing other shops to be flamed etc is ok, there the competition, lets give them a kicking.... That is NOT the spirit of what a forum should be about, and i for one think its an abuse of position. your gonna shoot me down now, but im not bothered. we should support our hobby not keep having a go at it for goodness sake. why dont these people email Apex and tell them of there issues, if there is that many people moaning then maybe they will get the hint and do something about it.......instead of being raped on forums!! @ Louder........how many hobby shops have there own in-house web team??? didnt think so, more than likely just the owner or a staff member that does updates etc......so not a fair comment really....
  2. 10 minutes isnt bad to be honest. you cant tune an engine when its cold anyway, so try getting it upto working temperature before tuning properly. when you say its spitting oil, do you mean fuel? i guess its coming out of the exhaust, if so then its too rich. when its warm, lean the high speed needle in 1/8th of a turn at a time. you may have to lean the low speed needle a bit as well but always tune the high speed before the low speed first. as a result you MAY have to adjust your idle screw as well. remember always 1/8th of a turn at a time when tuning.
  3. ive never heard of Milk being used before, thats a new one. water is commonly used but keep checking the pipe as the water can over expand and may damage your pipe. use some cling film or the like and a rubber band to seal it.
  4. Its 1mm for a reason...air and fuel mixture will be wrong otherwise. with a 1mm gap and a correctly tuned engine, it should idle just fine IF your

    Gutted

thats rubbish, sorry. what if you on your test and a Kid runs out into the road....i suppose you have to run the kid over because the instructor didnt tell you to stop
  6. Make sure the gap on the carb needle is set to 1mm. take the air filter neck off and look at the gap. if its closed when the carb is closed, then you need to open it to 1mm. Like wise, if its open too far, then close it to 1mm. also as already said, you cant tune a cold engine. if you had the tune right when it was running warm, then when its cold the tune will seem out. once the tune is right when its warm, then you should only need a slight tweek in the tune settings when the outside temps are different ( air temp, humidity etc )
  7. Touche mate, read my post, i said they should of contacted you to update you...
  8. Stick a .21 in there and the diffs may eat themselfs up and bend your driveshafts...
  9. i use metal ones on my diffs, but rubber ones everywhere else. clutch bell ones should be Metal due to the heat generated by the clutch etc, and resistance..
  10. 20% will be fine, infact i run 25% Optifuel in my Sons Mini ST... the engine is quite good to be fair, pulls nicely etc....have fun with it...
  11. its just a Mini ST on steroids!
  12. Will a .21 go in there? you might foul the exhaust manifold on the rear arms / wing stay. Also consider what affect there might be on the Diffs if using a .21. all that extra Torque and power might strip them..
  13. IMHO get rid of the spider diff, sell it and put a normal one in there. unless you have spider diff's all round, then you wont really see much benefit of having it in there. I had the PBS once, good little Buggy..
  14. Seeing as you are ignoring my Pm's, i have no option but to post on here.....i can only assume you purchased this instead of buying the touring car stuff you said you would buy off me. i now have to tell my work mate that the sale has fallen through because the person who said they would buy it, hasnt even got the decency to follow through with the deal or inform me that there no longer interested!! not a good way of conducting yourself to be honest...( and youve been online at least twice since i sent you those pm's as well )
  15. Is wondering why, when people say they will buy something, they then go quiet and dont have the decency to tell you otherwise!
