Have you checked if the flywheel is tight? the engine aint gonna turn over if the flywheel is not tight enough or come loose.
Good point spudski - I had this with one of my Nitros and couldn't figure out why it was a pig to start/keep running....then I found it.....!

The guy i brought it from of ebay says this:
"listen m8, i asked you what crystals etc you were using for a reason..the reason is,,these servos are for a digital controller,i/e spektrum like 2.4ghz not analogue with crystals, if you put these on the throotle or steering etc and you walk away with the controller the car will take of its self.. its says on the auction ..DIGITAL HIGH TORQUE HIGH SPEED SERVO thats what your problem is..happened to me,,car started twitching itself the further i walked away from it then it took off, that why i invested in a spektrum dx3 hope this helps"
Any of that true?
Post up the eBay username for us all to check out......!!! ???

My MG995 wouldn't work on the 4x 1.5V supply, but worked fine once I installed a hump pack.....and are still working fine (on a heavy use Savage)
Try a hump pack - if you haven't already got one???

Nice job, but won't look so sweet after you have had it on the roof a few times........LOL

Everytime I come to this website my computer goes on the fritz. It acts up and the screen blinks and studders. Anyone else have this problem? It is very annoying and no where else does this. And it is not just the page in which modelsport is open. It affects the whole screen. Once I close modelsports website, either the forums or the homepage it all goes away.
Thanks
Michael
Sounds like a plug in is not working correctly??? Have you tried using Firefox? works great for me, used it since it was released (BTW I hate I.E)

Recharagable's tend to work at 1.2v per cell.. they will run at 1.5 but only for a short time - about 20 minutes or so at a push, then they run at a constant 1.2v until they suddenly go flat without much warning.
1.5V....??? I don't think so........you must have some dodgy chinese ones......LOL
1.2V from a rechargable, with a long voltage range until just about dead, then goes V quickly.....!

I have an invention......
it's a USB breatheliser....can't log on unless you blow into it......
Gonna take it to Dragon's den......!!! LOL

I might end up doing that, I was hoping to keep the options open by making a converter...
Why not split the wire and have both......???

I would like to add that the girl was on a BMX track with a short sleeved top on as her only protection, no helmet/gloves/goggles etc......I know she wasn't racing, but just a good job it wasn't another bike.....!!!!
It was probably tha RC drivers big sister who had dissed him earlier and he wanted revenge - looking at the video titling/editing it was done by a kid.....LOL

Is there any specific problem with getting a longer wire?
I can imagine a shorter wire would reduce the signal, but can't see a problem with a longer one.
But then again that may be my in-experience
Yeah, it's all related to the wavelength of the frequency being used......can't remember the formula now.......think it is a quarter wavelength antenna on 27Mhz? In short, it has to be a certain length for correct/best operation

i would love to get a 2.4ghz system but i cant afford it at the mo so got to try and sort out what ive got.
There was a seller on fleabay with Acoms 2.4Ghz sets for about

Hi all,
The aerial wire coming from my receiver has been damaged - So I want to solder on some new wire etc..
Can I use any wire? or is this aerial wire special?
Thanks
Just conductive, run of the mill wire will do ya fine, try and keep same length as original though.
There is a list on this forum somewhere for lengths to use for each make of RX, do a search and u will find it

Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane says.....
"That puts a quiver in my liver......
I'm gonna get them Duke boys. I'm gonna get 'em good.""
LOL
nice one fella

just buy an ESC and have fully variable speed instead of just 3 fixed speeds....much better to control.....!!!
It will run fine if cracked, just make sure nothing is shorting (metal to metal) - but any ceramic resistor should be OK (as long as it is from an RC car)....I think I have an old one somewhere but who knows where it might be right now - will have a look for it if u stuck for one???
-
My Savage came with it (the cone) out already (it was in a bag), and manual says fit if IF you find the noise too much...........thats all?????
Anyway, I want MORE noise, not less.......LOL

I use loctite '5 way spray' as I use it at work......(so it is cheap! )
The engine will actually run on the stuff, so starting is dead easy after storage and it has been fine so far....
It is a bit like WD40 but smells even better.....

Loving the police blues and twos and siren idea though. But would'nt you get arrested for impersonating a police car? LMAO.
Knowing what the police are like in this country, you probably would.....!!!! DOH....!
