  1. Perfect...money saved...but a little disappointed I don't need to add to my tool collection! 😆
  2. I'm not sure how he did it either... It probably just made contact. Said there was a puff of smoke from underneath the esc. Also, he just came back from a week away.. Thing was covered in sand... The back had already started rusting. It was only a month old!
  3. This morning, charged up all the batteries to take the Carnage and the X-Maxx out. However it didn't last long!! My mate came along with his sons Carnage, while plugging everything in.. he potentially fried his receiver and ESC by plugging the balance cable into the receiver. (Noob) So I lent my carnage to his son... So my youngest and his kid accidentally have a head-on collision while I'm still getting sorted! Both came back with limp A Arms! My older lad manages to keep his running.. Just lost a few body pins...and after checking the body post had fractured. X Maxx... Just soaked it all up and laughed at the Carnages. Just a depressing 10 mins for the kids!! At least the repairs are cheap and I had spares! Gonna try again tomorrow!
  4. Looking at the stock tool kit for the X-Maxx, you get: 2.5mm ball end hex key 2.0mm hex key 2.5mm hex key Traxxas Wheel Wrench Splined 17mm I have everything but the 2.5mm ball end, is it really necessary? Cheers
  5. Well this is my current strategy, but wondered if there was some easy checks to do before it breaks. Still haven't taken anything apart since I've got the X-Maxx! So been out on several runs...and all I've got to show for it..are grass stains on the lid! Nothing has broken!
  6. When you run your X-Maxx's and nothing breaks... What do you check as your normal maintenance routine? Thanks
  7. We had a lot more damage when the cars were on tarmac...the grass has definitely saved a lot of parts 🙂
  8. Has anyone found an on road shell that fits the carnage chassis?
  9. Finally got round to uploading the video of the last bashing session to youtube: https://youtu.be/-vLyh0SLe_A
  10. So what causes the wheel wobble? Is it just the tolerances in the hubs?
  11. I've not had a single problem with the road ones at all. Plus they are a little smaller than the stock ones and not as grippy... Which really works in favour of the drive train!
  12. I wonder how they compare to the bugster wheels as they are bigger than the carnage and probably heavier...and they use the same diffs.
  13. Did you go for the on-road or off-road ones? If you went for the off-road, let us know how you get on, as will most likely get them next.

For my lads, if they go again... I'll be getting a set of these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4PCS-Wheels-Tires-Set-1-10-Rc-Monster-Truck-For-Losi-Tenacity-Mt-12mm-Hex-/154220196248?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  15. Good luck with that!! Nitro will have its own heap of issues but hopefully the truck will be stronger. As for trucks I can't emphasise how strong the x maxx is compared to any other vehicle I've owned!! Definitely recommended it!
  16. That's mad!! It'll probably rip the stock tyres apart!! I think 3s is plenty fast enough for my needs. Took the cars out yesterday, broke two of the cars body posts and one of the cars rounded the hubs in the wheel. So got new hexes on order. Luckily had some spare wheels. Next batch will be the ones someone said a few messages back.
  17. That sounds great for what I need and fits my budget!! I filled my diffs with oil...not had a problem since! Only run 2S though and just recently tried 3S!
  18. Hello, Anyone from the Bolton area at all? Starting to go out more, trying to find new spots for bashing!
  19. lol at the moment I'm using a bunch of tyres...but wondered what else people are using. Once I get my garage sorted, I was thinking of something a bit more studier and balanced. I might just make one out of wood lol 🙂
  20. What is a good fixing table for the FTX Carnage? Want something cheap but sturdy which holds it tight. Thanks
  21. So far..I've not really had any issues with the strength of the FTX..I don't really bash hard..my main issue is with shell strength. But at the moment, the shell will need to be in pieces before I buy another one. I've already re-enforced it..but they are still so brittle when it comes to jumps and bad landings. Cheers
  22. On a plus note...My DXF batteries have just arrived. No customs or extra charges...took about 3 weeks! Not sure I need them now lol my Sundapow 6400 ones from give me about 45-60 min driving the way I used it..which is plenty. The DXF 8400 are a bit bigger...but should easily give me over 60mins of driving!!
  23. Hey all, I've got the Proline Brute shell on my truck..which is holding up really well. To make it last longer...are the roof and boot skids protectors worth it? And which ones are better, Traxxas or RPM?
  24. Ouch!! Bet you wished you had it on video though!! You going for an upgraded chassis or going for the plastic one again?
