I do wonder what the current government are planning should independance happen. I imagine they will try to make life as difficult as possible for the Scots until Salmond is ousted and the decision reversed. I can't see them giving up the oil revenue easily and it wouldn't be that hard to bring all the military bases back down south as there are plenty of unused sites here. I did laugh when a pro-independance MP said they intended to use the pound rather than the Euro. As the Bank of England would set interest rates, they would be setting the rates for a competitor. If the remainder of the UK then pulled out of Europe, Scotland would be isolated from Europe for the road transportation of goods. Prices would rise, goods would become expensive and the Scottish economy would take a nose dive. Divorces are rarely pretty!
