  1. Hey guys, I'm looking for a new engine for my T-Maxx, want one that's fast, durable and reliable. I have a max budget of £200 to spend. Willing to compromise the speed a bit in order for something that survives a bit better as I'm new to all this and don't want anything that'll be going wrong everytime I run it. Thanks.
  2. I had a problem with the servo, so I replaced the servo with a new one, also changed the fuel line tubing you put on the throttle cable as mine had split. The lower arm also broke so I replaced this. Had a bit of a problem with the tyres becoming unstuck so stuck 2 of them back down. Also had a problem with it not turning fully left (whilst right was fine) but I tightened a couple of bolts and seems fine now. Now when I run it, it reaches a certain speed and the whole car shakes pretty violently, (wheels, chassis, everything) doesn't really look like it's damaging it but I've tried tightening so many bolts and stuff and it's just annoying, and means the car isn't accelerating properly cos the wheels are barely ever all on the ground at the same time. Very irritating, has anyone else had this issue? (it's a T-maxx 2.5R)
  3. Absolutely noone can help with either of these questions then?
  4. One, considering getting the Widemaxx kit for my T-Maxx 2.5R can someone explain to me the advantages/disadvantages of the kit. Also, I've noticed you can only buy it in one big bit, how hard is it to get spares if one of the bits snaps? Secondly, I'm thinking about getting the Pro Line 23mm Wheel Hex Kit. Can anyone also tell me the advantages/disadvantages of this please? Cheers guys.
  5. Looking to purchase a new set of wheels, can anyone tell me if there's a difference between the Jato 2.5/3.3 and the T-Maxx 2.5/3.3 wheels please? Also if I bought some Jato ones and they didn't fit what would I have to do to get them to? Many thanks.
  6. Where in Essex are you based mate? Been looking for a good place for T-Maxx bits. Cheers.
  7. Learnt something new today then, I assume it's not the same case with real cars? Since they then have a larger rolling radius.
  8. I thought it'd effect the top end performance more than anything?
  9. Think you missed the bit at the beginning of the thread where I said it's my first proper car.
  10. Thanks for the response. Does that mean it's just a natural thing and that it's not doing the engine any harm or anything? Cheers.
  11. Agreed. Thought the exact same thing when I saw it.
  12. Thanks for all the responses guys, been a huge help. I'll know what to say to the arrogant tit when he comes back. I just hope and pray he actually DID phone the police and they basically told him he's a moron.
  13. I was quite happily driving my T-Maxx 2.5 in a field today, thought it was bloody nice because I had a day off work and the field was absolutely empty. Eventually someone comes along with a dog and the dog decides to go full sprint after the car. I put the brakes on and bring the car to a stop realising the chances of it doing much damage to the car are slim, and the dog calms down and goes back to his owner. The owner then comes yelling at me saying I shouldn't be driving it in this field, it's a huge completely public field in the middle of nowhere. Took him about 2 minutes to get to me to complain. I felt I had been nice enough to stop and not irritate his dog yet he felt the need to moan, so I told him I have just as much right to drive this where I want as he has to let his dog run where he wants. He then started going on about how it's highly illegal to be driving these, and that he's going to call the police. Seemed as though he did because he picked his mobile up, dialed 3 numbers and walked off again. I left about 20 minutes later when I was ready. Thing is though, I've never actually looked in to what the law is regarding this, I did a search on the site and I could only come back with that someone was charged £300 for driving in a forest, but I then read that the forest specifically said no r/c cars. Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?
  14. I'm new to RC cars, this may be a common fault, serious fault or a completely normal thing, I have absolutely no idea. I have a T-Maxx 2.5R and when I start it, there's a strange high-pitched rattling type noise that comes from around the gearbox area. I tried running the car with it like it, as I say it could be completely normal it's been there since I got it and the car runs perfectly normal just sounds a bit err.. Strange Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.
