I was quite happily driving my T-Maxx 2.5 in a field today, thought it was bloody nice because I had a day off work and the field was absolutely empty.
Eventually someone comes along with a dog and the dog decides to go full sprint after the car. I put the brakes on and bring the car to a stop realising the chances of it doing much damage to the car are slim, and the dog calms down and goes back to his owner.
The owner then comes yelling at me saying I shouldn't be driving it in this field, it's a huge completely public field in the middle of nowhere. Took him about 2 minutes to get to me to complain. I felt I had been nice enough to stop and not irritate his dog yet he felt the need to moan, so I told him I have just as much right to drive this where I want as he has to let his dog run where he wants.
He then started going on about how it's highly illegal to be driving these, and that he's going to call the police. Seemed as though he did because he picked his mobile up, dialed 3 numbers and walked off again.
I left about 20 minutes later when I was ready.
Thing is though, I've never actually looked in to what the law is regarding this, I did a search on the site and I could only come back with that someone was charged £300 for driving in a forest, but I then read that the forest specifically said no r/c cars.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me please?
