  5. Interesting read if you hadn't seen it http://www.competitionx.com/news-feed/review-hobao-hyper-mt-sport-plus-monster-truck/
  6. WILDBILL69 let us know how you got on. I'm not that far from there
  7. There is a west midlands bashing group on facebook. They regularly bash in Bilston and most own 1/5 petrols. Hopefully this link will work https://www.facebook.com/groups/641420032659480/
  8. Has anyone seen the Louise wheels/tyres from hobbyking. They look decent value http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__82259__LOUISE_MT_CYCLONE_1_8_Scale_Traxxas_Style_Bead_3_8_34_Monster_Truck_SPORT_Compound_EU_Warehouse_.html
  9. Yeah I tried a adhesive pad from Halford's that is used for mounting your rear view mirror but that failed. Tie wraps is a good idea!
  10. I took mine for a quick bash over the local bmx track yesterday and I lost a wheel, luckily I found the nut. Im really impressed with this truck its tough as old boots, not broken a thing yet and its had a fair few crashes when my daughter has took control (honest!) Only problem Im having is getting the steering straight and keeping the ESC fixed, gonna try silicone sealant for the ESC next as d/s tape doesn't cut it.
  11. Cheers going down this route with the connection outside the box so I can easily unplug and plug in the programmer.
  12. Hi chaps Just a quick one, is there a way I can alter the receiver box so I can quickly access the esc lead so I can programme it quickly reason being when out with my daughter I run 3s and when with my mates want to run 5s so want to switch quickly is there an extension lead I can run so I have the connector outside the box or anything else? Cheers had a search but it's difficult to find anything. Hope that makes sense.
  13. @mydoddy69 How you getting with your new lipos? Im looking to get some combinations like you just wondered what combo worked best. Ive found 3s too slow and 6s insane.
  14. Oh got mixed up I thought it was the opposite. Basically I want to run 5s on my truck I've got two 3s at the moment but 6s is a bit uncontrollable.
  15. Hi Sorry for this newbie question but googling just beings up loads of conflicting info. So if I run 2 X 3s I get 6s I understand that if I wish to run 5s can I run a 2s and 3s together and if so do they need to be the same discharge rate?
  16. I managed to go for a quick run but it wasn't very successful, when running on 3s the throttle would turn stop after running for a few minutes and then I decided to try 6s which worked fine but I think the rear diff has stripped as it had no drive then. Oh well strip down required!

    SOLD

Hi up for sale this motor good condition and fully working. £25.00 plus post
  18. Ok, Here are some pics. standard apart from my dodgy diy chassis brace made from a U section of Ali i had lying around also did the slop removal as per your great you tube video. Took picture of the small motor, can you recommend a reasonable motor to run for reasonable money?
