  1. At the weekend I took my Hyper back home to run on the recreation ground down the road. The grass was nice and short so I got my jump out and gave it a bit of a beating. In so doing the four small set screws that hold the pull start on loosened off and fell out. Resulting in the pull start spraying itself over the rec. We found the spring and plate (not the back plate but the bit that holds the spring wire), and the string had wrapped round the rear driveshaft, unfortunately the handle and rubber bit on the string were lost somewhere in the grass never to be seen again ....and there was me thinking I'd got away with not snapping the pull start.... So, I plan on finding some new screws, threadlocking them in and screwing the plate back onto the block and using a starter box instead...much easier. However having just moved out, money is tight as a ducks arse, so any recommendations for a cheap but decent starter box would be most appreciated! Cheers
  2. "I'm a Red Sea padestrian and proud of it!" Anyway...back on topic. Sounds like a bargain, was it???
  3. Ok so it's a full on race hopped truck. But jeeeeeesus! As above, I'd spend that cash on a decen HPI Baja with a few tweaks! Things is, someone will buy it
  4. I have the .28 Mach (my first nitro) and after a few balls-ups when getting it running and run-in (all my noob doing, not the engines!) I can honestly say it's never given me any issues at all. I do have to give it the odd tuning tweak every time I run it, which I hear isn't the case on the .21 (quite so much at least...it is only a nitro engine anyway) but overall I like it. It's silly fast too for what it is, although never having used the .21 or raced against one, I can't comment on any differences but, as a basher, I like torque...it gets you out of ditches when you can't be arsed to walk the 100 yards to get there
  5. without a headgasket surely it wouldn't seal? either that or it will seal fine but they are only shims....I know I've seen threads on here saying the thicker the shims the higher % of nitro you can use. Sure someone on here knows for sure though!
  6. wondered where the soles on my work boots went! they look spot on mate!
  7. Sorry to hear about your dad, glad he's on the mend though...and knowing a few nurses myself it's no wonder he's staying in hospital lol Had you considered a custom chassis? I know it's been done before and you can then make it the size you need to fit both engines on comfortably as well as safe, secure fuel tank and servo's.
  8. Sorry Chris, but the bank says no at the moment due to bills on my 1:1 car but if you still have it after pay day and I have some of my bonus left then I'll have it
  9. I'm tempted by the spider diff that Indie is selling at the moment, but not sure if it's worth it considering that I only use the hyper for bashing, not racing. Can I have some opinions from the guru's? Cheers!
  10. highly tempted by this...need to check my bank later though out of interest, why are you selling?
  11. I got mine from Dinball on e-bay last week, otherwise known as RC-Mart, took 7 days to arrive but at 50% of uk price (just over
  12. also invest in a small bottle of threadlock. Only a few quid, but will save lots of hassle down the line!
