Thanks every one I got a new glow plug and a new glow starter. Suprise suprise it kind of was the glow plug.... BUT my bloody glow starter (2 years old) was only giving out half the power than the new one.. slapped the new glow plug in the bloody thing started.. Got one frustrating thing now. I am finding it really hard to get a setting that works well. I am leaving it ona stand to run in. Is this ok? Basically it runs well. Giving off quite a bit of left over oil in the exhaust. ( where I bought it the guy said that would be usual.) any way I now find that if i just tap the throttle the engine cuts out. Do i need to adjust the screw on the throttle linkage. i try turning the richness down but it doesnt like that. Soo glad its running but would it be better to run it on the ground?

Ok people I have made sure the engine had no fuel in it (wasnt flooded). Checked to see if the slow plug lit up when conected to the glow starter. it did grrrr. I placed the hair dryer on it for about 5 mins. engine was red hot. Put the hsn back to factory setting. Would not start at all untill I put the hair dryer on the engine. When I did the engine statred. was a bit eratic. but again it would stop straight away when i removed the glow starter. Tried adjusting the hsn 1/8th.... didnt help I ended up adjusting it half a turn. just to see of it would run.. Nope So at the mo my mate and I think I have a dodgy glow plug. Any one have any other ideas???? I need to get this running... asap... It is doing my head in not being able to fix it. please help

CHEERS people for all your help. I feel confident now I will sort it. when you say adjust the HSN by 1/8th should I be doing that from the factory setting or from the top. I am sure you mean from the factory setting other wise it would be runing extremely rich? I never realised how intresting nitro is. loads to take in. pitty no one makes a body for this car. sure i can get one to fit. cheers every one

Nice one martin. cheers for the help. Will give all the info i have got a try tonight, so hope it starts up, but keeps going this time. Now does any one know where i can get a new body for it. I miss designing my own spray paint jobs.

I have been reading and trying to take in all the info on this site. Its great. Should I try lossening the glow plug 1/4 of a turn to reduce the pressure?

Thanks for helping me. I have removed the glow plug and that glows nice and bright. When you say the high speed needle (is that the screw above the fuel line, near the carboreter (cant spell). If so I have checked that it was set to what the instructions say. 2 and 1/2 turns from closed. So shall i try two turns from closed?? what do you think. I have had the car runing on the weekend but couldnt remove the glow starter. If i did the car would stop dead. I tried heating the engine up with a hair dryer last night. this at first suprised me as it nearly started but then after the first go it just didnt want to know! Should I turn the car upside down (remove the glow plug) and see if any fuel is in the engine. then just start from the begining. any needle setting you can advise on. is there only one needle to adjust? sorry to ask so many questions. but when I lift the car up of the floor (when i got it running) the wheels where not spinning unless you gave it a little bit of throttle. is this correct? So hope to get it started tonight.

Ok I got it to run BUT when ever I took the glow starter of the glow plug then the engine would stall straight away! I checked that the glow plug glows when connected to the glow starter. It does grrrr. (i have oredered a new one just in case) Any way I have now been trying and it just will not start Please Please Please help me as I just wont to get this thing going..
