  1. It'll work fine with that system mate,it will however work better with a 2.4Ghz digital setup, the digital servos have a more accurate movement and move in smaller increments over analogue servos but it will work fine just not to it's full potential....
  2. Sounds like its cogging, one of the leccy guys will explain that for you, you'd be better me moving this to general electric for more answers...
  3. Sounds reasonable to me,all depends on what it looks like aswell, looks are everything when selling older models but for that money with a nearly new engine i'd say it sounds like a good price....
  4. All the type has gone smaller for me aswell as loads of errors,it'll get sorted soon enough.

  5. Thats it,40 series from Proline are all but redundant, they only do the Cheyenne Weld rims and Commando beadlock rims now,all the dish rims they did have been discontinued, try Axial 40 series 8 spokes, they have a 17mm hex and come with adapters for 14mm,if you have 23mm hexs then it's a problem,i'm switching to 17mm hexs as soon as i've sorted everything else, more choice of rims and tyres and just as strong as 23mm. I had the CEN 55 series dish rims on my Nemesis as standard, pretty good but not as tough as Proline rims, infact they're nowhere near as strong,I have the FSY 40 series rims with Bowties at 1" offset, they do for general use but if I do any extreme jumping then it's the Wabash with Crimefighters.I think Proline need to start doing 40 series rims again, theres a gap now in the market and I prefer them on my Revo, especially if they have 1" offset, gives a much better stance and stability improves when cornering...
  6. An almost new OS.21TM Max engine in box for the Revo...
  7. Slough Models also does CEN parts for most of their current lineup,I used to shop with Jenny's RC on Ebay for parts for my Genesis trucks when I ran them and Slough Models for the MG16MT.Jenny's RC is in the US but she and her husband Ton mark the packages down and they usually took around 5-7 days for delivery..
  8. has woke up with a spanking headache, now were's those bleeding Ibuprofen..

  9. Cheers Daz,glad it inspired you bud.Its a straight drop in engine for the Revo,i've got the stock engine mount and also the RB engine mount,i'm sure either will do,i'm gonna use the RB manifold on it and a one piece manifold spring aswell as the RB pipe, should help the engine breathe better than the Traxxas pipe.... Cheers Phil,as soon as funds allow I think she'll have the RB back in,either that or the Sirio S.27RE,not sure wether to get a piston, liner and both crank bearings for mine or just go for a complete new engine,i'll decide when the time comes. The OS will do the job until then, shouldn't be quite as wheelie happy as she was but then on the gearing I have on at the minute (38t/16t) it will still wheelie on demand I think.Gonna treat her to a new rear wing too as soon as I have the Integy Evo3 wheelie bar with the little shock absorbers on it,I want one thats got the rear skidplate combined as its mounting point and not the one that mounts to the rear bumper as the wing mount takes up that mounting location....
  10. It handles great,no problems at all.Had it out earlier, first time with the new T-15 carb and it's unreal, loads better and has bottom end power now and the top end is wicked, better tahn before so i'm happy now for the time being.I have the alloy brake/slipper hub on mine but Laura's is stock and had no issues at all, they only knacker upwhen the slipper pad gets worn then the spur spins and the heat build up melts the hub,if the pads in good nick and the steel friction plate is fixed to the hub it should be fine. I have that hub you wanted here, pop your postal addy in a PM and i'll send it to you....
  11. I think my voluntary payment at first or excess as I call it is
  12. I'd have thought HPI would've come up with a better chassis design than that, even though it oldish, having the shock tower tops/body mount supports and pipe sticking out like that would've been a complete no no for me,the Kyosho would've been my choice, that pipe on the HPI could've been sorted I guess with a little alloy stinger tube but the shock tops sticking out is a travesty....
  13. Buddies cover for long term illness's like Diabetes and Arthritis, going with a specific pet insurer is what i'd choose all the time, the likes of Pet Protect,Pet Plan,Buddies and the PDSA insurance are all underwritten by either AXA Sunlife or Aviva (Norwich Union),theres others too and one i've seen uses Zurich as it's underwriter, all superb main insurers,as you said, read the small print and the whole schedule and policy details, then just get the best one you find that suits your needs, hopefully you'll never have to use them but it's always there as piece of mind,Collies can be accident prone as they are giddy dogs when excersising and tendon, ligament and joint damage is easily done. Staffies are hardy dogs, thats why i've always had Staffies,English Bulls and Pitbulls for the majority of my dog owning life,I started with a Staffy when I was 11yr old,a little bitch called Zeta, back then no one knew what breed she was.I've had a good few over the years since, would never be without a dog until the day I die,Tyson,my Rottie is in an Oak casket and is being buried with my ashes when I pop it....
  14. Money Supermarket,it's a great deal easier...
  15. I'd go with the Micro T/DT or a 1/24 Kyosho Mini-Z for indoors, anything else is OTT,the only 1/18 i'd use indoors is the Losi MRC,thats would be great for playing indoors, make it's own crawler course maybe....
  16. You'll need a new backplate when you switch to EZ Start,Mark kindly clued me up on that after I was told it was a straight swap.It is on my RB,I can just whack a Traxxas pullstart straight on it without any changes but thats for another time, gotta get this OS.21TM Max fitted when it arrives and setup the linkages as I think it goes on the stock Traxxas mount,i'm gonna see if I can use the RB mount though as it's CNC and not cast like the stock Traxxas item....
  17. I'd say about £70-£80,the Kyosho mini is a rarity these days but parts can still be got, great little chassis for general use, looks like its from the same era as the Kyosho my mate had in the 80's.R46 will be able to shed some light on it better than I can but i'd pay that money for it for the novelty factor alone, whack a Tamiya Mini shell on it and it'd look wicked for display and use the one on it for when in use outside....
  18. I've used Pet Protect in the past and they were good, helped with my Rotties hip problem and paid up straight away, you have to pay an excess which varies from company to company but usually is about
  19. You can pull the brass connector pin if you have the right tool but if not just snap it off at the bottom of the molex plug where it enters, rmove the yellow wire too as thats only the earth for the gloplug,so just yellow and blue and leave the red and black for the motor....
  20. The FOC is to make the transmission more reliable, reverse can and does tend to get trashed more often than not,it also makes the overall weight drop by a good few grams aswell as makes the whole tranny spin more efficiently... The splined 17mm wheel hex's can be bought from Modelsport,Wheelspin or Ebay for around
  21. Yep a good thread,Just a few pics of my little Nitro Rush (Yellow Peril),the daughters Rush Evo is already in here somewhere further up but another pic of it as it stands now is included here, not much changed on that but my Nitro Rush has had a lot of changes,it's now fitted with the rear Firestorm shocks as someone wanted to buy the Hyper 7 shocks and I still had the Hyper fronts on the Rush's rear end.... The super high ride height when I got it... As it is now along with a couple of Laura's Evo....
  22. Just dragging this thread back into the mix.As a lot of you know by now,my beloved RB TM523 has gone to the big scrapyard in the sky and I was pretty gutted to say the least, anyway,I thought I may have had to go without it at the TM Comeback bash but due to an OS.21TM Max coming up for sale, she'll now be up and running by next week sometime.I know the OS are a great engine, probably on par with the RB,the RB has more grunt and overall revs but the OS is a more reliable engine on the whole and are legendary for holding a good tune. I know a couple who have this engine in Revo's and they swear by them over RB,I doubt i'll be the same as I just love the RB 523 and it would take a very special mill to sway me away from it.As soon as I have it and it's fitted i'll get pics up of that and report on how she runs with that engine,I know it's a good one as it's only seen the break in process and comes boxed, all thanks to revo madness so cheers fella....
  23. Good work with the pipe Kieron, done a cracking job there lad.The left over bits are the shock bottoms and inserts for standard sized shafts from the early RTR,not much use really,I fitted mine to Antster who has the Shenqi cos his were knackered and leaking.Don't forget to refit the rear screws in the rear tranny top plate,it's easy to overlook that area...
  24. Cheers Pedro,it's turned out to be a good little truck...
