  5. yeah that's where I bought the car.. but apparently a lot of people have been crashing them recently too (all the usual guff repairers tell you when they not fixing your car!! lol ) just a case of patience.. but as you can imagine.. after a month its running a little thin.. but I will get her back soon.. lol
  6. thanks for the offer Snowy, however the garage are after a Mx5 front wheel bearing/hub (can tell I meerly drive/aim/crash it?? lol).. the trouble being, as its an insurance repair, it has to be official Mazda part, and the MX5 is made in Japan (factory in Hiroshima), and quite rightly, the Japanese are currently more concerned with the recent events than shipping parts out to prats (me ) who bend their cars .. the good news is.. the garage tell me they have now sourced the part.. but it won't be with them till Tuesday next week.. so, I might get my car back by April.. lol I crashed it Feb 20th ..

  9. Just had a call to say parts for my car (1:1) are still not in, so still not fixed = I am gonna miss this one.. sorry guys.. have a great time.. and please.. pics! :-S
  10. yeah first trip out I took it through a puddle that it floated in.. lol use wd40 or plusgas to "disperse water" from the bearings then lube with good oil/grease.. I dried mine standing inverted on its body mounts.. with a short blast from DD's hairdryer in places where it looked like gravity might be less efficient on...
  11. lol... yes, oil the bearings and dry it out well to prevent rust as much as poss.. but getting it wet then hosing it off seems like a good way to test how waterproof it is... some people recommend you open the receiver cover but if you do, make sure the seal is in the right place when you put it back!! but generally, your unlikely to have caused it much harm..
  12. Had a little look on the maps and looks a cool place.. might well try and get over there for a nosy.. once I am mobile again..

  20. A couple of tips (prob not news to you tho).. I am assuming the viv is "side opening" and your not accessing from the top (fish tank type affair).. if the latter, get them in a proper viv asap don't hand feed her.. she might be associating your hand = food.. therefore.. attacks.. Is she getting her share of food? when I had mine, the dominant Beardy (in my case male) wouldn't let others feed.. including his mate.. in the end I had to keep him in a seperate viv.. congrats on the babies.. and don't forget to try foods other than apple (mine loved Spinach).. Good luck with her.. I really hope she becomes handleable.
  21. the rpm rear bumper and the mudflaps (sold seperately) are easy and cheap(ish) to pick up on ebay.. I plan to do the same some time.. but for now.. only replacing things as (or when) they break..
  22. if you switch off at the mains, but leave plugged in, (after removing cmos battery) then press the power button (usually for 3-10 seconds.. I always go for 10..) it will drain all power and saves shorting things out (usually).. this is (without the need to remove the Cmoss battery) also a good thing to do with all computers once a month or so (or if your finding card readers are not functioning).. of course with laptops it means removing battery..
  23. and thats the sad state of affairs in Kent for LHS's... Where is AM please ThunderWolf.. and do they stock anything traxxas? Given up on "Ramsgate Models" after the lady there tried to sell me a 250 MAH lipo... (one of them teeny ones for micro helicopters (look a bit like Xtals)) when I enquired about suitable lipo's for my Slash.. thank god I was clued enough to know they were no good..
