  1. Definitely not brand new! A few of my parts date pre 1920...... most from the 1950/60s. Look on line for Meccanoman, a great source of spares..... some reproduction is also available.
  2. OK. Understand. Any one recommend for my motor or will any do?
  3. Thanks for your advice gents. OK. Multichannel setup I understand. What controls the motor and how?
  4. I'm building a block setting crane from a meccano set. It's large and heavy. The jib is just under 6ft long. The balance weight is around 14lbs of lead. The single motor, running at 6v, is marked RS-550SH which, I'm told , is used in RC cars. I wish to use RC to control the model. I wish to control the following movements. 1. Motor Speed control 2. Motor forward/ reverse 3 . Crab 4. Lift 5. Slew 6. Crane along track. I assume servo motors for 3- 6, but how do I control 1& 2? Technology has moved on from my days!! I will need to buy all of the rc equipment but I can't justify a full new set. Any advice would be very welcome.
