  1. alright lad i just done a quick search for you and found that some people have been using the ""heat cycle" method for their break-in and have had no probs, hope this helps. Paul.
  2. nice looking paint job for your first time lad, and great colours too. Paul
  3. alright lad i dont think there would be much difference in body roll between the mog and cruiser as the shells dont really weigh too much but someone on here might know different. the 4WS was achieved via the Y-lead which only cost a few quid on the usual auction site. ive run mine between 1-2 hours indoor just giving it the normal tests over some sofa cushions, dogs and anything else i could find, havnt encountered any problems yet apart from a few clearence issues when at full articulation but a hooby knife soon sorted that out. with your weepy shocks i would take them off and check them, and if need to re-build them be sure rub a little bit of oil on the O-Rings to make them seat properly and make the seal. Paul
  4. thanks for the quick responses lads, i picked that particular roof rack as it gave me somewhere to mount the extra lights as the front of the mog is pretty limited for lightbar positions or elsewhere for that matter. keep your comments coming, thanks in advance . Paul
  5. the only upgrades/scaling done so far: Novak 55t motor,Proline roof rack & light bar and Tamiya light unit. any opinions and/or criticism welcome Paul
  6. ask any decent "signwriter" if you cant get them anywhere else lad, thats what i do. Paul.
  7. Alright lad I had a long think and some searching on the net to help you with your problem, and ive tried not to mention anything that has already been said, so here we go..... Assuming everything looks in place and kosher bar the bit of trouble your having, have you had a look at the Brass Bevel Cone that the Flywheel slots onto? maybe this could be worn and in need of replacment. or the only other thing i could think of is maybe the Con-Rod Bushing that connects to the Crankshaft could be worn. just a couple of stabs in the dark lad, but i would disassemble the clutchbell, clutch flywheel etc and have a good look around. Paul
  8. Hi mate, if you have a local sign-writer or someone similar its possible to ask him/her to re-create the decals for you, you should only need to supply the needed pictures of the decals your looking and also let them know the scale/size your looking. I had this done to a Tamiya Mini and i must say it turned out absolutely amazing. Paul
  9. i need some decent hi-torque servos for my unimog, drop me a PM or Email on [email protected] Cheers Paul.
  10. Hello, hope someone can help, ive come to the gearbox installation section during my build(section 24 in manual) and i have discovered that my sun-gear does not fit properly in the case when bearings BD7 are in place, during further inspection i noticed that it seems the bearings(BD7 do not go all the way down the sun-gear shaft, and stop just before the larger gear. so what im asking is: are the bearings meant to fit all the way down the sun-gear shaft and sit right next to the larger gear? or is the gap supposed to be there? the gap in question is about 5-8mm. cheers for any help. Paul Problem solved, PLEASE CLOSE
  11. thanks very much for that lad, i just couldnt get the head around why it needed the fourth channel but now its crystal, cheers. have you any idea where i could get some custom add-ons like meaty tyres and rims etc? Paul
  12. need a bit of help, just got myself the above mentioned model and now i need a radio set and motor to go with it, at the moment i have a 2 channel system in it as i had this lying about which gives me motion and steering, so my question is.... if i got a 3 channel system would i be able to control the motion, steering and gear-change? or do i really need the 4 channel system? bit of a noob question but im a bit of a noob to leccy and big rigs! any help would be great.thanks i will not be adding the MFC or a trailer etc.
  13. My missus has decided to get rid of her beloved mini, so i said i would post an add here to see if anyone would be interested. The mini itself is in perfect running order and will come with full radio gear, the only thing you will need is your own battery & charger, there will be a few spares with it but nothing major just the usual spare plastics an danything else she has lying around. The transmitter is a pistol grip style with rubber around the steering wheel, the car is in used condition so expect the usual scuffs on the under-side of the chassis and the nicks out of the rims and the body is well used(typical women driver) and its painted in pink. my missus is asking for offers around
