  1. Nothing .......... No post on Sundays Rob
  2. Ok so it's looking like my oldest lad (17) is going to convert my nitro hyper I have but "doesn't want the problem I have" his words not mine lol He's got a sc8 esc but wants a budget (cheep) motor Any recommendations?? I was looking at the hobbywing but not sure if he should stick with 1900kv like mine or not Will also run on 4s like mine Rob
  3. Just sent you a pm I will take the conversion kit if not already sold Rob
  4. I'm using tapatalk and if I click the link I get this Rob
  5. When I was running it myself up & down the road it was fine but I really need it fine for the kids too. Rob
  6. I will end up with a nice collection of pinions if nothing else lol Rob
  7. I don't get enough time with the controller to get a 'style' but as long as the kids are enjoying it it I guess its worth the time & money Rob
  8. This was on 4s I did say the kids style was erratic to say the least lol Rob
  9. I'm going to order a 15T pinion and like you say put a few holes in the shell. I'm still thinking it's going to end up slow trying to get my tems down What's the best places to put holes as its a forward cab body? Rob
  10. Hers the vid just to show how they like to drive lol http://youtu.be/UegdprNWt2M Rob
  11. Just run a full pack + half ish with the body on and my kids driving in this heat & it was reading 200f on the rear of the motor & 160f on the side nr the front (I will put the vid up soon) I think maybe it is a little hot still. My Esc & lipo are between 90-100f Rob
  12. Just been out running up & down the road with 3-4 sec throttle burst then heavy breaking, after 10-15 mins the motor was reading 62c ( 143f ) Is this ok? Punch & timing turned right down Rob
  13. Not postman but the DPD man, Temp gun so I can check my motor temps Rob
  14. It's the highest setting so I thought it better to be over cautious than b@#@er up a lipo Rob
  15. No drag brake, punch setting was level 5, I'm not sure about timing settings I will have a look tomorrow and double check everything before I do any running What should I have the cut off set at? ATM it's set at 3.4v/cell Rob
  16. Here you go http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__42937__Turnigy_TrackStar_Waterproof_1_8_Brushless_Power_System_1900KV_120A_UK_Warehouse_.html That's what I bought but I'm only using the motor as the hyper already had a hobbywing WP-SC8 fitted My temp gun should be here tomorrow so as long as it stays dry I will be able to find out how hot (or not) it's running. That's better I didn't copy the link lol Rob
  17. Nothing is binding, I've just done a full strip and check as for driving I can only describe the driving/usage as ... erratic. I have kids youngest being 12 but with development problems so more like an 8 yr old, so as you can imagine he likes flat out driving & doughnuts lol I'm going to have a try with the esc timing and see if that helps as I have the program card. Just ordered a temp gun from amazon at
  18. I'm running a hyper 7 with 1900kv motor WP-SC8 esc 4s lipo I've tried both 19 & 17T pinion I'm also thinking if I drop to a smaller pinion the car will be too slow as the difference it made dropping to a 17 seemed a lot, I want it running correctly but I also still want some speed lol Rob
  19. I didn't have the shell on which worried me a little as if its this hot without how hot would it be once the shell is on. I've found a few temp guns around
  20. Looking for 14/15 T if anybody has one Rob
  21. Any recommendation on temp gun? Or should I just get any one? Rob
  22. Right, I think I will get a temp gun first I was giving it full on blasts (on Tarmac) and heavy brake Defo think temp gun is next buy Rob
  23. My brushless hyper7 was running HOT so I swapped the pinion from 19 to 17 now my motor is hot after 15 mins but too hot to keep my finger on for more than 2seconds after 10 mins. The lipo feels ok when in the car but after removing it in the house it feels warm. Am I about right? I'm thinking of getting a temp gun to double check my temps but what do you all think? Rob
