  1. Thanks for your help on this, I'll give it a shot - it's worth a try, I'll test by adjusting throw and manual shifting to try and narrow down the possibilities. I do have a feeling though that the servo is failing. With the system powered on, I tried forcing the shift servo to a different position with my finger, and it doesn't return to its original spot. Maybe I'm wrong, but normally it's supposed to return to its programmed position when running, right? I will be ordering a new servo just for good measure and go ahead with the swap anyway, it's the easier option than a full teardown of the gearbox but at least it will provide a surefire way of diagnosing the problem. Cheers.
  2. Hi Everyone, I need some help in pointing me in the right direction before I start taking things apart 😅 I recently purchased a second hand Tamiya Toyota Tundra high lift with a three speed transmission. Am having issues with changing speeds as follows: High gear - ok Medium gear - ok Low gear - works for a while and then the shifter gets drawn into a dead spot between low and medium, and the motor just keeps spinning but doesn't engage. I've tried adjusting the EPA on my radio unit to compensate but that doesn't help either. It seems that the shift servo doesn't maintain it's position for some reason, obviously it could either be that (weakened servo?) or an issue with the gearbox. Has anyone had experience with this and help, taking apart either the transmission or replacing the servo requires a considerable takedown of the model so am hoping to set of on the right steps with some assistance from the forum. Thanks everyone and have an awesome Sunday! Nadmax.
  3. Hi Everyone, Having always been a fan of RC, I made a shift from high speed models to crawlers a few years ago because of the limitations of the region I live in. Situated not far from Nice, the area is very mountanous, wide open spaces for bashing are scarce, I wound up frustrated not being able to use my Traxxas Slash, Rock Rey and Arrma Senton. The ample hiking trails and beautiful scenery inspired me to make the move to crawlers and I haven't looked back since 😄 Although wifey isn't too chuffed 😅 Cheers!
