  3. Well with my house purchase due for completion in the next month and the solicitors bill looming regrettably I have to sell my much loved road bike. The Bike is a 2010 Boardman Team Carbon size MEDIUM which is currently on sale in Halfords for £999. Details and spec can be found here http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165710 As you can see from the pictures the bike is in mint condition and has probably only covered around 500 miles in its lifetime!! The bike has always been cleaned after every outing and stored in the dry. This is amazingly light at only 8kg and you can fly along effortlessly whether commuting or taking part in road racing. This particular bike benefits from some extras which are all virtually brand new!! These are: 1. Look Keo Easy Pedals rrp. £29.99 2. Cateye LED Light set rrp. £39.99 3. Bontrager Air Support Road Mini Pump rrp. £24.99 4. Cateye strada Cycle Computer rrp. £26.99 5. Charge Spoon Saddle rrp. £24.99 (original included) 6. Topeak Modula Bottle Cage rrp. £6.99 7. Scott Road Comp Cycling Shoes & Cleats rrp. £65.99 8. 5. It's about 6 months old, had virtually no use at all Many thanks Ben
  6. Hi Lewis, at the moment its selling as a job lot, i may possibly split, if that is the case i will let you know. many thanks Ben
  7. Sadly i've got to sell all my gear, it was all bought with the intention of racing but for one reason or another I haven't got round to it, and now a new house forces the sale. There's quite alot to list so please bare with me, I've used photobucket due to the size of the photos. Right first up we have an RC8b with box and manuals, as you can tell from the pictures this is mint, the previous owner (dan blight) obviously looked after it and baring rebuilding it i've not ran it. It comes with Factory team CNC front and rear hubs, GHEA racing lightweight worlds kit, including stub axles, turnbuckles, ball joints steering posts etc. Its had nearly all the screws replaced with titanium and all nuts replaced with anodised aluminium, no expense spared.
  8. I've not used this personally but heard very good things about it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280489523088&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Its also available in larger bottles This is the sewing machine oil i use, alot cheaper and works a treat!! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Machine-Oil-Suitable-for-Knitting-Sewing-Machines-100ml_W0QQitemZ190301320967QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Crafts_Knitting_Crochet_EH?hash=item2c4ed7b707
  9. I too have noticed the slow delivery times from Apex, on the odd occassion i've used Modelsport they've been excellent as have MK Racing, ordered some clutch shims at 4pm on thursday, arrived 8am friday morning!! Apex models take note!!!
  10. I use some old nitro fuel and a glass jar to wash the bearings, then sewing machine oil to relube them! Super smooth!!
  11. I have no personal experience with it but i do know it won the belgian 1/8th rally X title so i'm sure in the right hands it is more than capable!
  12. I'm not sure what your budget is badge or how much he's askin but Mr T is testing the water with his VRX-2 in "for sale" for the right money that could be ideal to get into racing! I've not seen one in the flesh as such but the specs are impressive and you know with Mr T owning it its been looked after!!
  13. There are some good RTR's around tho most ppl recomend the hyper 7 but there us now alot better choice caster zx-1 rtr vrx-1 rtr ishima rave rtr maverick rtr I's actually consider all of those more competative than a hyper 7 as RTR's have come quite along way since that was introduced. I guess the choice is yours, a nice choice to make tho.
  14. It sure does! When i put my race kit together it was on a budget something like this RC8
  15. Whats your budget? Are you lookin for an RTR you can upgrade as you go or a full blown pro kit right from the off? If your serious about racing IMHO you'd be better buying a second hand pro kit such as an RC8, Losi 8, Xray XB8, 808, You'll end up spending more than the price of a pro kit upgrading an RTR to be really competative before too long.
  16. Yes mate the B5 will auto switch off at max capacity, you'll find that bat will prob hold more than 5000mah anyhow
  17. I owned an RC8 and at the same time a friend of mine had an MBX5R, both awesome buggies, the 5R is a little dated now and the X6 is available, for years Mugen has prided itself on its durability and there's no doubt its a solid piece of kit that said it is a bit of a tank by todays standards, There are a few stockists of parts for mugen but associated will be alot easier to get hold of. Now the RC8, there has been rumours that its weak and breaks easily, this isn't true in my opinion! I gave mine loads of stick and only broke one part which was a
  18. I actually owned the original and that was twin 775 motors...........
  19. Looks nice in orange but i'm struggling to see the difference between this "evo" box and the original SMD box
