Hi all, I’ve taken my vintage HS2 out of the loft, don’t think it’s been fired up in the least 25 years! I’ve decided to fully strip it down, update the components where necessary and give it a full rebuild. I’m going to need plenty of advice, as it has been quite some time since I’ve been involved in RC cars. I’ve added a few ‘before’ pics. As you can see the front suspension damper mount has cracked (part sheet 0005280), anyone know where I can source a replacement? A few questions: Which electrics am I going to need to replace? Any recommendations? What batteries are best? How can I test the motor? Looking forward to hear you replies. Many thanks for the advice. I’m really looking forward to getting this beauty back to its former glory.

Hi There, Took my 1988 HS2 out of the loft to show the kids and it stoked the old RC flames. It probably hasn’t run in 25/30 years - going to need a lot of TLC. Perfect for a rebuild project, and get me back behind a controller. I will start a thread on the Vintage board, and put some pics up. I’m going to need plenty of advice! 🙂 Do I dare try and charge the old NiCd battery!?!? 😆
