  3. looking to see if there would be any interest as we are about to build a crawler room/track as over the last number of months we have had people ask about this and who would actually be willing to come and use it also in recent weeks we have had a few people turn up with crawlers just trying to gauge interest from here if any

Hi Folks Ayrshire Radio Controlled Car Club is based at mosshill industrial estate and is a place for novice and experienced racers to race we have 3 purpose built indoor tracks for onroad, offroad and drift both our onroad and offroad tracks are equipped with amb timing equipement we run all kinds of 1/10th electric from buggies, trucks, touring car, mini chassis, F1 and drift new this year is the tamiya holiday buggy class which is an affordable entry level for newcomers and also a fun class for the more experienced racers we currently run on a monday and friday night from 6.45pm till 9.45pm we are holding a open track day on the 10th of march woul be great to see some new faces weather you have just popped down for a look or to run everyone is welcome please note if you are using lipo batteries these must be charged in a lipo bag any other questions feel free to contact me or post on this page
  8. hi lads Ayrshire radio controlled car club is having a open track day cost is £10 for the full day to use the onroad, offroad and drift track all electric club no nitro but worth a trip down 1/10th buggy/truck, vintage tamiya, touring car, m chassis, f1 and drift all under one roof if you cant make it along on te 10th then we are also open on a monday and friday night 6.45pm till 9.45pm
  9. pete coat your electrics in rc lazy goo mate its an electric waterproofer and it does what it says on the tub theres also a video of them coating a motor etc and dunking it in water as a demo can be found on www.rclazy,com
  10. with brushless it is the lower the number the faster it is the higher the number the slower
  11. your marder engine will be easier to start as id guess its a Zenoah where as the Baja will have a fuelie if its an hpi or another make of copy the fuelie can become rather unpredictable as it becomes older as its made with cheaper materials where as the zen is at the other end of the scale and is more reliable after years its got nothing to do with the carb you run the only thing I will say is carbs can also be very unpredictable especially the unchoked ones as it needs to work harder also check the diaphrams in the carbs if your running a poor airfiler as a lot of crap tends to get in which in turn then gets into the cylinder and also cause the engine to become unpredictable and causes scoring of the cylinder head to tell the difference a Zenoah has a yellow kill switch and a red spark plug and a cy has a red kill switch and a black spark plugs and the fuelies and copies of them have normally the same colour coding as the cy's

Pics of Irvine bash site for those that are interested Nice piece of grass for running on too guys with some nice jumps Not a single house in sight it's all industrial units and a shooting club and both areas are very quiet as in no general public we use to run here years ago with no probs or issues your also 5 mins from being able to get onto Irvine beach for anyone that wishes to have a beach run
