  1. Thanks for the links. That version with the tray is interesting. How is it secured? I might have to go the TRX4 plus G500 shell option. I think if I go for the 79 Bronco option I won’t have to change the wheel base, just get the slimmer fenders. Re the motor from Holmes, they replied to my email to say that if I bought the leads and chose the TRX4 option it would be good to go with no soldering required. I ordered it anyway, let’s see what turns up
  2. Hi all, New to the forums and RC in general. Please move this thread if it belongs elsewhere. So for Christmas I bought my boys (and maybe myself) some TRX4’s. More for trailing then crawling as we live near a state park with plenty of tracks and trails to explore (bit of a godsend during Covid lockdowns). Anyway, my youngest blew his motor going too hard (some lessons are learnt the hard way). I’ve ordered the replacement online and stuck with the Traxxas that came stock. Probably because it’s easiest for me to replace as I don’t have the skills or tools to get to complicated. I can pull things apart and pull them back together again generally, and that’s the extent of my expertise. I notice that lots of people recommend the Holmes Hobbies Trailmaster motors. Thoughts on putting in a Trailmaster Sport 550 21T? Most people seem to think it’s a better option. Also, this is a long shot… does anyone know of any retailers that still have the TRX4 G500 Mercedes available? Thanks
  3. Hi all, Joining from Melbourne, Australia. Very much a novice, looking to gain some wisdom. I bought my two boys some RC’s for Christmas and have run in to some issues already, so here I am 😂
