I'd suggest a crawler. Tough and not too fast so parts don't get broken. It's how I started my lad off before having a go on quicker RC cars.

Searching for Killer Bee / Super Bee safety kill switch for 1/5 petrol. Prefer a new one but probably a tall order. Second-hand if it's in good working order please.

I'd forgotten all about it until I saw the pictures. He used the rc and other gadgets to perform robberies. I can only remember bits from it.

Could you paint the bed on the outside? Or fit a piece of black plastic on the outside to look like a bed cover maybe. *Just realised the original post is over two years old...๐

Not had any problems with the Skyrc chargers I have, T100 and T200. I use them for any non Traxxas lipos.

Belt drive conversion to suit Maverick Blackout/Redcat Rampage/HSP King motors etc. Trying to find one, anyone have any ideas please? I did message the guy 'stern cnc' on eBay but no reply. There was also someone on Facebook years ago who used to make them, no reply either.

If it is then it must be a huge rc. I tried google lens but nothing came up like it.

Cheers buddy.

Received in a box of other parts. It was in a Fastrax packet but no part number sticker. It's about 2 1/2 inches long, needle bearing in one end, threaded inside the other end. Any ideas?

Apart from forgetting to glue the tyres, I'm calling that done. Lad was happy when I gave the trailer to him earlier. (didn't wait until Christmas because the 'elves' would get all the credit ๐คจ). The small holes around the top edge are for clipping bungee straps into. Failed in my mission to make this without having to buy anything, ยฃ3.60 for some 3.6mm plyboard...

Few more photos. Hoping to get it put back together and finished tomorrow evening. I forgot I was going to add a ladder rack, might do that next year maybe.

I'm a bit further on now at least. Just need to sort out the wood sides and tidy up a few bits. Tried doing the tow hitch a different way to how I used to do them, wanted a lot more angles etc. Thought about a driveshaft joint but realised that I can get more angle from using an old portal drive. My drills wouldn't touch the hardened steel shaft so had to heat it til glowing, allow to cool, then the drill bit could cut. Still in mock up but you get the idea. I did forget that it also needs to be able to swivel, for when the truck leans at a different angle than the trailer. Solved it by cutting two grooves round the gear and fitting four screws into the grooves to keep it in place. I forgot to take a photo of what I did. Anyway this is how it works. After a pair of front and rear shocks from an 1/5 ftx destroyer please. Prefer the threaded adjustable type. Many thanks.

@Gaz! ยฃ1.50 for a bacon butty sounds very fair. Nice looking trailer there, looks very realistic ๐

๐ If it does turn out to be, I'm probably best to fit a new one incase it's faulty. Wiring is pretty mangled too.

Hi all. Bought a 1/5 Maverick/King/Redcat in boxes as a project. Not got time to dive into it fully yet so just been having a nosey. What is this please? I'm thinking an aftermarket failsafe engine cut off, it does have a button on the circuit board.

I've used styrene sheets in the past, not sure if that's just another name for plasticard. Not bought any for a while so could have also gone up in price. Know how you feel re the motivation, when I built an off-road camping trailer I kept doing a bit then leaving it for a month etc. Think it ended up taking about 5 months to finish it, it was done to sell.
