  1. Would consider selling as rolling chassis or combination of the bits you want. Alternatively, £475 for the lot.
  2. I built this myself during lockdown. Enjoyed the process very much but realised I don't like playing with them as much. I worry about damaging it. Never been in wet. Mostly in road outside house. You will note the skid plates I fitted to protect key areas. Insanely fast. Never raced never crashed I am selling the following as a ready to go kit. You will just need a charger. The following is included: TEAM ASSOCIATED Rc8b3.2e buggy Hobbywing Ezrun Max8 ESC Hobbywing motor Savox servo SB-2274SG GensAce 4S battery FlySky GT5 controller and receiver Spare road tyres Spare skid plates and other bits and bobs I have not used it for a good while and lots of the RC lingo now escapes me. I am asking £550 ono for the lot. Pick up only from Wirral so you can check it over and have a go.
  3. Took it out for a first trial run in the road whilst it was dry. It absolutely flew. I did not have time to fine tune or mess with esc proper as it was a small window in a hectic day. I am pleased I know it all pretty much works. Will dial it in over next few weeks. Running the 15T Tekno pinion. Very impressed with the FlySky GT5. For the money you seem to get a fair bit of tech. Happy Christmas folks. Nick
  4. I am now pretty much done. Just awaiting transmitter. The paint job is pretty bad and I should have got a professional to do it. I was rubbish at cutting the body out. However, despite all this I am pleased with end result. Thanks for advice people.
  5. OK thanks. Confusing when I have two contradictory instructions. I will go with fan port then. Check pics of the two instructions to see why it was frying my brain.
  6. I will be setting up electrics shortly. The HW Max8 ESC and motor combo comes with a program card. I understand the principle of how it works, my issue relates to how you connect it. Instructions with card say that if the ESC has a BEC (which it does) I simply disconnect ESC wire from receiver and plug the wire into the card. However, all videos I see of people using a card plug the card via its own wire to the fan port. Please can someone enlighten me. Sorry for all the inane queries.
  7. Will this pinion be suitable in regards pitch and dimensions? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/6221664571208619/?ref=mini_shop_serp&_rdr
  8. I have a 4s battery coming. However, the esc has dual xt90 to run 2x2s. I assume its OK if I just connect a loop connecter to one of the XT90's? I was considering cutting one off but don't wish to void warranty and also gives me option of running 2x2s should I wish.
  9. Scrap that last post. I have removed it and threaded it under the battery tray. Cleaner and lower centre of gravity.
  10. Have I attached this bracket to the ESC unnecessarily? I could just take the wire straight under the battery/esc tray without it being raised on the bracket provided by HW. It obviously means I have to take the whole tray out and re-thread the wire but that's cool.
  11. Taking shape. Tyres hopefully coming tomorrow. Motor and ESC Friday. Though I'm 43 my parents are getting me a transmitter for Christmas 😆😂
  12. Not really thought about Amazon to be fair. The choice for single 4S isn't that great to be fair.
