  1. Thanks for responses. Having looked at all 3, I went into a fairly local store to have a look at the contenders, and walked out with a Team Associates Rival MT10! More expensive, but looks a lot more robust, and better quality to my inexperienced eye. Picked up a 2s Lipo at the same time and looking forward to trying it out. Just got to get used to Tx...I'm used to flying models and a square box! Cheers all.
  2. Nitroholic...That's good info, thank you. I like the look of the Strada, so that's likely the one I will go for. I was looking at the quantum flux too, but thought that the extra shocks in the Strada might make it better able to cope with the ham fisted controls of an inexperienced driver! The more you read though, the more you find, like slipper clutches, but I guess I'm thinking a bit too deeply really.
  3. Yep, that's my preference too. Can't see there will be much difference in durability between them, they are both entry level brushless machines.
  4. Hi all, new to this game and having looked around, I've narrowed my choice of first car to a Maverick Strada MT or an FTX Carnage.I like the look of the Strada, but have heard that spares can be an issue. Not going to be a serious racer or modder, just want something that's fun in the local park and at the flying club between flights! Wanted brushless as I can afford the extra cost. Anyone got any wise words of wisdom to steer me the best route?
