  1. Hi all. I'm new on hear and I'm trying to find the answer to problem with my golf buggy. I bought a golf buggy a few month ago. It has been modified and Iv checked with the motor controller company that all parts are ok working together. I was sold it as working but only needing a battery. as one wouldn't charge. so I saved my pennies to buy 2 lithium batterie's. Only to find it would cut out before 1 min. I have since had the 2 motors, both gearbox's and the motor controller tested and serviced if needed. The controller came back with a motor fault on the computer test. One of the motors was tight so both motors have been cleaned out. The gearbox's tested ok. I now have all the parts back on the buggy and upgraded the wiring for lithium batteries. I went out today with a fully charged batteries. I drove about half a mile before it stopped. this time flat batteries. What could demand so much power to flatten the batteries. The other thing is since the motors and gearboxes have come back. The motors are running a lot faster. but take it out and under load one of the gearbox's is knocking since its running faster. I have no way of telling the top speed as yet.
  2. Thanks about the info about the gearboxes. I was just asking how i could go about things. Looks like changing the motor controller. Iv been looking for a better motor controller. Only one other from curtis. It still works at 24 volts but gives 39% more power. But if there's a controller that can work on higher voltages. That would be good
  3. Hi. I'm disabled iv been looking for sometime for a good off road disabled scooter. I stopped looking when I seen the price of them and they are not very strong. So I found out I can use a golf buggy and bought a second hand one. That had been modified. You could tell some money has been spent on it. As part of the course I had the two 800 watt motors tested and the two gearbox's. I was told the motors spin at 6000 revs, but after the gearbox its only 2000 revs. Can that be improved. Seems to of lost a lot though the gearbox. I'm wanting to use this on the road as well. There's 2 I can see so far. one is register it as a disabled scooter and be limited to 8mph on the road. As I have a full driving licence I could register under a different class. One that I'm not restricted on speed. So now comes the big question. I have Curtis relay 110A - 2901/2908 that works at 24 volts. Can anyone tell what controller I could use that would lift the top speed and performance
